The meetings are on Monday at 10 and 10:30.So we will soon see.It seems to me BOI need 75%,after the offer they have less than that to mop up the rest.It seems they can still delist from the stock exchange,My reading is that holdouts will still receive 8.125 %...

Looks like Bank of Ireland only managed to achieve 57.34% , less than the 75% they needed.I guess holdouts will continue to harvest dividends despite the difficulty/impossibility of trading.Still 8.125 interest rate looks useful now that interest rates seem to be falling.I hope my grandchildren will appreciate the gift they will inherit.

Perhaps this offer is the last chance for BOI,If their offer gets them to 75% I guess it is game over. It will be a clean endIf less than 75% the holdouts continue to get the dividends and can hand down to relatives, the shares will be highly illiquid and for BOI a messy situation. In any event I will hold I purchased below par and happy to take the dividends and pass them on to grandchildren.

How do BoI buy in the market if the shares have been delisted?

Dividends will still be paid if the tender offer is unsuccessful. The bank may hold 60% of the shares and the holdouts 40%.All will receive dividends in the future, until the Bank reaches the magic 75%.To get to the magic 75% they may have to buy in the market.

I think we can safely conclude you won’t get more by holding out than by accepting the current tender offer. And you might get less.

It's not clear what they would get upon winding up, is it. What's left has to be evenly distributed. But what is left?

pipera12 - I agree it's a kind of coercive behaviour really. But sadly I suspect individual shareholders will have little choice ultimately.

I don't think there'll be an option to continue receiving dividends by the way. The pref shares will simply be liquidated. And those who didn't vote in favour will at best get the same price for their wound up shares as those who did.

This is rude of the Bank Of Ireland,
I imagine as in the summer the small individual holders will stick with the share and want to continue to receive dividends.
The Institutions I imagine all sold out in the summer but only had less than 50% less than the 75% required.
Ok so the shares will be de listed but the pensioner shareholders will content to harvest dividends.
I shall hold.

Presumably, end with shares in an unlisted company they can't sell .

Looking at the trades over the last few days, it looks like someone has a special deal with one of the market makers to mop up any free float that comes in at 115.81p, 10K taken yesterday and a further similar clip today, 114.1 bid. (Bank of Ireland?)

It looks like aj bell are treating 2.07p the difference as a dividend - strange.

I had the same problem with AJB as above, the difference (dividend) was paid after I messaged them.

They are fairly close to being able to wind it up with remaining holders getting just the liquidation. I guess they will simply buy slowly in the market.

Halifax only gave retail investors the later settlement date. I think the earlier date was for institutional holders only.

Retail Holder. On 22 June I applied for settlement on the GENERAL Expiry Date, which was accepted by my broker, XO on 22nd June. Without interim notification, today I am told by XO that the settlement was shifted to the Retail Settlement Date as an intermediary insisted so.

Can any RETAIL holders please advise me whether they received settlement TODAY, 13 July. Thanks.
