No - we need the golf. Golf earns decent money. 98% gross profit.!!!

Agreed though, a few £10k trades and the share price should recover but thats not the point. These falls shouldn't happen on very low volumes.

I think they were looking at appointing the Edison group to improve liquidity. Don't ask me how they do it though!!

It doesn't help that a lot of Market makers are running flat books. Of course, that will help any reversal as no one will have stock to sell.

How do we get improved liquidity in smaller companies? It is the same for most stocks below say £100m these days and Market makers do not carry stock so restricting themselves to a very minimal market size.

Any thoughts?

Maybe we need a platform where we list what we want to buy or sell and set prices ourselves

Any of us decided to put 10k in it would be back at 45 in a few trades. The liquidity is a real problem with this share, it needs to be addressed, currently it's uninvestable. Even private equity has about a seven year time horizon for return of capital. This one is just money locked up indefinitely and unextractable except for pennies.

It seems like there is selling pressure. Maybe the poor weather is worrying weak holders.

They have got rid of the 3 loss makers. The other bars make OK money. I think Lola Grand does really well i think...

But yeah, bars aren't like they used to be....

Rather believe they should get out of bars full stop, brutally competitive, and high cost base.

Yeah, the edison note says NAV is 61p.

Volume is miniscule. PIER has moments like this.

Let just hope the weather stays warm and dry far more than it did last year. And no hotel fires!!

Last year we got a trading update on 25th July, wonder if we'll get a repeat this year

Yes, hopefully a period of settled weather. Its been lovely down here this week and the open air football showings have been very busy.

£10 fabulous fridays and the annual passes seem to be popular.

Pier doing some great events that have been well attended..

Terminator,

You do realise how Impairment charges work right?

This FY already has £5m going back on as "profit"

ALL 4 divisions are EBITDA positive.

I mean, the average Mirror reader is generally in favour of free everything for everyone regardless of the cost, so no surprises there.

Why should should any pier that provides entertainment be free, tourists and visitors need to understand that it needs maintaining on a health and safety perspective. No different to any business raising their prices!

The Daily Mirror doesn't like it, but the market clearly does. Now retraced the whole post-results drop.https://www.mirror.co.uk/travel/uk-ireland/tourists-livid-beloved-free-attraction-32800156.amp

The Annual pass could include free access to the pier on all visits making that more desirable and bringing in up front revenue.

Good points, agree. And a chance to pre-sell ride tickets at the same time and offer the annual pass.

I think there are other elements of the charge that could be interesting too. Does it counter-intuitively lead to more expenditure on the pier? People might be more inclined to 'make the most' of a visit they've paid for. Does it clear out the bottom end of the customer quality range and lead to a slightly less down-market offering overall. Does it provide opportunities to gather better data on visitor / consumer trends?
