Bad review for the affiliate scheme

To be fair, though, the guy writing the article does come over as a bit of a nob

Not sure if this is helpful but I have just googled

"Website Builder by SocialGO"

and got 616000 search results

the growth rate on paper remains linear at around 25-26k per quarter. The only thing that would "surprise" is an increase in premium and a decrease in attrition although I'm not sure if we get attrition numbers...?

Regards V2 and specifics I am not really too bothered - im very much more interested in the rate at which they are growing premium network revenue - i'll get excited about the new product features when i know there is a healthy growing base willing to pay for all the bells and whistles...

They may announce some key wins if they have any - that would be encouraging

But in all honesty, i dont expect a trading update this month...

By the way, BGT may still have a bit of revenue to come from ASIC and iDVD - a distinct longshot as their focus is SG but we could at any time get updates there i suppose??

Cheers

Yes, an update on what we should expect from V2 would be good. But they may want to keep the specifics hush hush until it's actually released, given the competition

Yup, servers and hosting is what I meant by the infrastructure, but the new premises is certainly something worthwhile that they could announce

The US has (unofficially) been the target market since day one and the Woodside office was announced last year, so I'm not sure if there is a great deal of new news they announce on USA market development. I guess they could talk about US 'expansion' to pad things out...

Hi Norbus,

You asked about the trading update. Yes, I agree it would be nice to get one

Most progress I can see seems to be 'noses to the grindstone' stuff:

- de-bugging of the product
- some minor changes to the look and feel, the pricing plans
- a few new widgets have been developed
- some new staff added and a few 3rd party developers
- strengthening the infrastructure
- continued development of the new version of SocialGO

Anything else to add to this list that you can think of, Norbus?

Carl?

Of course, if they could top that off with news of progress on increasing the conversion rate, whilst decreasing the rate of attrition that would be very nice indeed

One less headache if Alex does not have to worry about servers, capacity limitations, maintenance.. more changes in the business model..

In order to help the company it is a shareholders duty to scour Socialgo sites to look for pervy material, which should be monitored closely. I will report back on my findings.

I would have thought if trading was going better than expectations then that would warrant an update.

Having spoken previously to Dom on the matter of updates, it seems apparent that they only update when they believe they have enough to warrant the RNS...should they feel this is the case before the close of the month is down to them...

Worth calling them but you will not get a definitive timescale before the next RNS for obvious reasons

TA & Carl79

Given the many important developments since last December, and that BGT gave an update last year pre-closing, It would be a retrograde step if we did not get an update this year.

The company seems reasonable and well disposed towards its investors. what do you guys think? I will phone to speak to the Co Sec to ask for formal update

BGT should introduce charging for adult content on Socialgo networks then everyone is happy.

Norbus, BGT are not trying to be, nor have they ever been policers of content. They set up Zocku for adult content rather than try to ban it...lets face it, for the most part, porn has driven an internet revolution with a significant number of all traffic being of adult nature...you are not going to keep this content off all networks just because you tell them they can't do it...BUT what you can do is make them AGREE not to post adult content when they take out your service - thus, you put the responsibility of this content back on the network owner and not the provider...

The point here is a network flying under the radar and contravening a very clear set of rules on SocialGo's Terms of service. My guess is it will eventually be closed down...

Whether it does BGT any favours is an interesting debate...they say all publicity is good publicity - i'm not sure how harmful a small minority of adult sites hiding on SG's platform actually is...some adult owners may even sign up, like the service and decide to create a legitimate site on the back of the experience, something they would not have done had BGT used some clever algorithm to close any adult related site immediately...

Any product seller has terms and conditions. perhaps they never gave this a thought before.

Presumably they have no choice unless they spend all their time policing content, and that's not a good idea when they need to be focussing all their efforts on revenue.
