25/1/2010 08:19 | There is certainly potential for this to multibag quite considerably - it is why most of us are invested - lets hope they can capitalise on the opportunity... It is always good to have holder on board who grasp what we have here so im pleased you are in and looking for more | carl79
24/1/2010 06:58 | Carl79 not being coy, but have not done buying the stake i am after. I believe BGT is now fully aware of the tuned engine under its bonnet and intends to exploit it. For that reason , this appears, imo, an oppotunity to buy now whilst stock lasts | norbus
23/1/2010 20:57 | good for you | carl79
23/1/2010 18:16 | In total, a million more than I had before :-).. | norbus
22/1/2010 16:54 | Well done Norbus. How many do you have in total? | carl79
22/1/2010 16:04 | Carl got 1000000 but had to go to 1.9 | norbus
22/1/2010 14:09 | Nice, very professional looking network: | the analyst
22/1/2010 12:38 | I'd like 1000000at 1.5 or a shade more; I have a broker who can access online The point I made concerns need to have turnover to create a market. | norbus
22/1/2010 11:06 | Norbus - how many do you want?? I have no problem buying up to 150k on line right now... | carl79
22/1/2010 10:14 | HI TA Rather than ask Dominic to buy shares, I would ask them to release some to the market.. I don't know who holds shares beyond the directors. Shares held so tight there is hardly any market in them. | norbus
21/1/2010 16:53 | Social Networks for Schools "Eventually all universities and colleges will make use of online networks as a crucial form of mass communication in the 21st century." "There are students from 30 different countries attending the college, so realistically a parent association which didn't make use of the Internet would be impossible to maintain" | the analyst
21/1/2010 15:57 | norbus... this is not the first spike and it don't be the last! you get used to loonies although this time was not too bad! | carl79
21/1/2010 13:07 | Funny how the riffraff beat a retreat when the music stops! | norbus
21/1/2010 08:37 | Hi C79 I'd be nervous if I somehow knew that BGT will not raise more money soonish, as it would indicate BGT going ex-vigorous growth when their expansion should go wild and even exponential for 18months to three years from now, having just launched in the USA. That means they will need to suck much money .. Maybe Dominic does not want the hasle of close City scruitiny and inside trading queries if he got into habit of buying/trading his company shares.. | norbus
21/1/2010 08:27 | Hi TA - no, Dom has not shared with me the reasons behind him not buying stock from the open market but then I have never asked and its not something i'd expect to be volunteerd... We should remember that BGT has needed money in the past and we can only assume Dom was aware of this many months in advance of the placings. His partaking in the placings means he injects cash into the company. Assuming his resources are finite, then buying from the open market would remove a portion of placing stock he could afford to buy and thus increases the amount that outside parties need to buy in order to give the company adequate funds... All this said, if he bought a few 100k on the open market, the fact that it is the first time (i think) would give enormous confidence to current and would be investors - it could even imply the end of placings...all imo | carl79
20/1/2010 20:35 | Hi airforce, I was referring to the Asic / Bubble and iDVDs ventures, but there are also massive success stories in the past from these guys too! Dominic Wheatley created Eidos, which was a massive success, of course Also, the new Director created partypoker - he started that from from scratch and developed it into a billion dollar company... | the analyst
20/1/2010 20:22 | So the directors are honest but also losers. If the directors had a track record of creating successful businesses then maybe investing here would be a risk worth taking.. | airforce11
20/1/2010 20:08 | Came in for a quick look around as seen it before a while ago and curious. I have no doubts that there is a need for these types of networks as current social networks are either massive and include everyone or forum style in a very fixed way ie. most forums just do forum stuff and are not easily customisable. Unfortunately I can't see how the business model can work financially. It has no defensible or protectable business, unless it achieves massive scale very rapidly which would make it a land grabbing brand. Plenty of other internet businesses with more resources and methods of monetising who could offer a totally free service along similar lines and who could reach a massive potential audience tommorrow morning, just by advertising the new service over the existing service that is already used by big audience. | yump
20/1/2010 19:00 | Too right, Norbus - I'm not complaining, just curious as to the reason why. It's actually quite unusual, so there is probably some sort of logical reasoning behind the decision I prefer no hype at this stage too, but I do like to see good PR both for the company and the product. I also have no problem with a share price of 1p for the next twelve months as long as they make it to break-even without issuing too many more shares. Of course, a price around 4p and any future fund-raisings to be at or around that level would be much nicer :) These are honest Directors, imo. They have failed with previous ventures, but I believe they have tried their best and you can't ask for more than that. Others might disagree with me on that one, but that is the way I see it anyway... | the analyst
20/1/2010 18:44 | TA some Directors we know bought on open market and did so to fool investors and suck them into a hype. I prefer directors playing honest. | norbus
20/1/2010 18:13 | Hey Carl, From your conversations with Dominic, have you ever managed to find out why he has never bought shares on the open market? It's a question I keep forgetting to ask at the AGM I know he buys shares at rock bottom prices when there is a placing, but the lack of buying on the open market is seen, by some, as a big negative I wonder if our new non-exec has the same aversion to buying shares on the open market? | the analyst
20/1/2010 18:02 | I remeber those dizzy heights of 5p lol GL all SirM Hope you are well Carl ...been watching but that's about it ! | sirmark
20/1/2010 17:05 | Be quick - 5p by the close of play Friday ;-) lol | carl79 |
