06/11/2009 11:46 | no trades, just limits being adjusted imo... Not too exciting right now but lots of work going on in the background I am led to believe... | carl79
06/11/2009 10:55 | ..first sign of life in a long time and its down!!... | haff1
03/11/2009 19:32 | So, if I'm reading it correctly, that only leaves 40m shares that can be used to raise cash Now, although Dominic thinks they have enough cash as they stand, I don't think that's the case. Also, I don't think that 40m shares at 1p or 1.25p would see them through to profitability So, perhaps they have a plan to ramp up the share price and issue shares to institutions this time? (from what I understand, the last placing was basically to Directors, staff, friends and family and not many institutions were courted for money) So, (in rose-tinted hope mode) maybe they will manage to ramp it up and then to issue those 40m shares at 3-4p to institutions? - they could persuade them that at that price the company is 'great value' when compared to the valuation over at ning.... | the analyst
03/11/2009 19:29 | 90m of those seem to be for 'non-cash', Ian, so what do they have planned there? Are these only for staff options and warrants, or are they planning an acquisition through issuing shares. Or even to pay for marketing service with shares? "permit the issue of shares pro rata to existing shareholders and the issue of shares otherwise than to existing shareholders for non-cash consideration" | the analyst
03/11/2009 18:45 | ta Alex, on the other hand, looked a little shattered not supprised he seems to be the driving force now with wl gone ,mind you wl were there to make money and could not see themselfs making much in the future ,now will gowit give up the ghost ? ,dom on the other hand is in the states most of the time ,another 130m shares at say 1p ,will that be enough to see them to break even ? | iantc
03/11/2009 18:25 | So, 90m can be issued for a 'non-cash' consideration. Does this mean they plan to issue shares to acquire a company or assets? Then, 40m can be issued for cash. That's not very many shares and would only generate £500k at that 1.25p price we've seen for the latest placings Leaves more questions than answers and you could debate that these resultions could be good or bad | the analyst
03/11/2009 18:19 | "Resolutions 4 and 5 - Authority to allot shares and disapplication of pre-emption rights Resolutions 4 and 5 provide for the grant of authorities to the Directors pursuant to sections 551 and 570 of the Companies Act 2006 (the "Act") to allot shares. Resolution 4 will permit the issue of shares pro rata to existing shareholders and the issue of shares otherwise than to existing shareholders for non-cash consideration. The number of Ordinary Shares that may be issued pursuant to the authority conferred by Resolution 4 is limited to 90,305,450 Ordinary Shares, being approximately equal to one third of the Company's existing issued share capital. This authority will expire on 29 October 2014. Resolution 5 will permit the issue of up to 40,637,450 Ordinary Shares for cash other than pro rata to existing shareholders, being equal to approximately 15% of the Company's existing issued share capital. The authority conferred by Resolution 5 will lapse 15 months after the AGM or at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held in 2010, whichever occurs first. The authorities sought will replace those granted at the last Annual General Meeting in October 2008. The new authorities are being sought so as to maintain flexibility in the financing of the Company and to give the Directors the opportunity to take advantage of business opportunities as they arise." | the analyst
03/11/2009 18:09 | lol, his tan was very good indeed Ian! He looked relaxed and refreshed. Where did he go? Alex, on the other hand, looked a little shattered. Mind you, I can't talk, I wasn't on the best of form, having been woken in my hotel by fire alarms, then woke in the morning to a power cut and finding the ceiling was leaking and had ruined my shirt. Ended up going to the AGM in jeans and short sleeves I have to now agree with your previous comment, that I disagreed with at the time - I now agree with you that WL were a major driving force behind the company (perhaps not THE driving force, but a big one, nonetheless) They do need to replace their energy and drive that WL were providing very quickly, imo I'm not too concerned about the share price if the business develops well. But without WL, they seem to now be on a 'go slow' on the development front. I hope that's not going to be the case going forward. As you say, the big risk was the possibility of changing the ords, which they haven't done. They did, though allow for another 130m shares to be issued which would take them to the 400m shares I was expecting to be issued before break-even.... | the analyst
03/11/2009 17:49 | like the blue bits on this thread looks lovely ,plenty of debate as the share price flatlines ,one bit of good news from the agm was they have as yet not changed the ords ,ta how was doms tan? | iantc
03/11/2009 14:57 | the analyst, Good call. As i've said many times before, i only pop-in here to see how things are going, and to see if there is anything new that may convince me to invest here... ... that's all it's ever been... but Carl79 is overly blinkered to others views... he obviously has a lot resting on this, and his view has become very unbalanced... and he doesn't like others rocking his boat. ... as you know from the LNG thread, i'm invested in that company, but i don't let that stop me seeing the hard facts (good or bad). | ldmachin
03/11/2009 14:17 | Good Luck Carl! | the analyst
03/11/2009 14:10 | Not ego TA - its about him calling me a liar in the hope that i cant remember what he said. I know that you don't like it when people challenge you directly with falsehoods as i've seen your retaliations on my thread. I am no longer posting here following this so LDM can bang on all he wants but he has no credibility and hopefully the newer readers of your thread will appreciate this and thus treat his often opinionated posts with the caution they deserve... You are right about the debate by the way - it was improving...I tried to move it over to the older thread becasue LDM can not post there and it became clear he was more interested in sh*t stirring than being part of constructive conversation...he trashed my thread in the end and needed banning and he will eventually trash this unless you agree with him or at least dont challenge him... I wish you luck...i'm signing off... | carl79
03/11/2009 13:51 | LDM, By the way, I have your post saved if you want the content You may wish to start your own "LDM vs Carl' ego thread that focusses who said what a year ago and who is a liar etc. I can email it to you, if you like Regards | the analyst
03/11/2009 13:14 | Back to the research. I saw earlier that SocialGO were not going to include virtual gifts as a priority, after being asked for them by some members. To me, virtual gifts are just moronic and I find it hard to see a situation where I would pay for them. Why would I pay real money to give Carl and LDM a virtual pint of beer over the web? But, last week ning introduced virtual gifts and there has been a lot of excitement about them. I hadn't realised they were so big (a billion dollar market in 2009) "Ning Enables Customized Gift Creation Ning, a website that enables users to create their own social networks, announced last week that it too will open its own virtual gift shop. The store will allow users to buy and sell virtual gifts as well as create and sell their own customized gifts a feature it claims hasn't been offered until now. Early participants in a test version of the store include artists at the Brooklyn Art Project, who have created miniature versions of their artwork for sale, the New York Times reports. Ning users selling their gifts will receive half of the revenue from the sale, and Ning will keep the other half. The gifts will cost $1.50, and users can purchase credits through Paypal. Ning, which currently generates revenue by selling ads and offering a premium version of its service, sees virtual goods as one of three additional revenue streams it will put in place by next year. Using Virtual Goods for Good Meanwhile, social gaming site Zanga is allowing users to donate portions of their virtual-goods purchases to good causes. Zanga's popular game FarmVille, in which users plant crops, take care of animals, and socialize with neighbors, permits players to purchase sweet potato seeds, with 50% of the proceeds going to two non-profits in Haiti, Fatem, and Fonkoze, the New York Times reports. As of Oct. 21, the game's 56 million" | the analyst
03/11/2009 13:07 | These posts are getting a bit dull guys. Personally, I really don't think anyone else here really cares about who said what about transferring data from one social network to another. It's irrelevant to the debate about the company and whether it's worth investing in Please stop posting these or they will be moderated | the analyst
03/11/2009 09:56 | If only the shareprice was as vigorous as this thread! | 77monty
03/11/2009 08:50 | Carl79, Seriously, do you inject aspatame into your eye balls or something? how dense are you... every one of those statements i made has born out to be absolutely true!! Do you work for some lame government department or something, 'cause we all know how they like to pass off black as white and white as black. You need to clear your mind pal... 'cause you're losing it. How much prosac do you take to get through the day? P.S. And please post the full post about the API comment as you've been dishonest again and you've associated this with migration. When i was talking about developing the site... AND SOCIAL GO DOES HAVE IT'S OWN LINUX API SCRIPTING LANGUAGE. | ldmachin
03/11/2009 00:56 | I've seen a lot of banner ads for SocialGO on various sites over the past month But, I have no idea if this affiliate marketing campaign has been working | the analyst
03/11/2009 00:46 | Carl79, You're beyond help, who do you consult for? The village idiot? Does he pay you in magic beans. You're even contradicting yourself, one minute you say 'sites can be migrated a click of a button', the next you are saying 'look, yeah well, maybe not a single click of a button, you can do it free by follow a series of free instructional videos' (or pay someone $400+ at widget labs to do it for you of course)... and then you can use another tool to do the photos and videos. THAT'S CALLED MULTIPLE TOOLS! LIKE I SAID IT WOULD NEED! "in my opinion BGT need a small army of sales people targeting" - I told you many moons ago that BGT would require a sales team which would cost money... but, oh no, mr consultant thought that it was all done through free viral advertising... how is that viral advertising going? haven't seen a single advert for Social Go anywhere myself? ... there's no helping you pal, you're a bad blinkered investor, who will learn some hard lessons that could have been avoided (GGG is just the start)... let's hope you don't need money anytime soon. | ldmachin |
