There has been a lot of Directors Buying over the last few days which has to give a positive signal for a business like this (though the value of directors buying was slightly diminished when the entire board of Northern Rock bought, but let's not go there...). They go xd tomorrow. If markets maintain these levels there HAVE to be upgrades to broker estimates. 170p is an achievable target in my opinion.

I couldn't buy via my screen.I had to get the broker to phone the market.I had to pay 0.2p above the offer price at that moment in time to buy 10,000.

whoosh quick move to 132-134p - and 3.5p div to come early this month i believe - personally I am looking for 180p come year end if market levels hold or move up slightly - meantime a nice c.6% yield

I bought 10,000 shares this morning 127.9p.Doing well.(trade not showing....as usual.!)
First time owned this share if I remember right.

one of the dir did buy stock as well 5 days ago ,this is a cash machine,like the other brokers,the secor is very cheaply rated as well as this stock.years ago i used to work there....i like the way they run the co,ie very tightly..if you look at the chart yes it could go to £1.20,but the stock has a good yield here which looks safe.

Slightly irritating that there is now a director selling... albeit a tiny amount. Makes you wonder why he's bothered.
I've been trying to make some enquiries, and so far all feedback on how the business is run appears to be positive.

I WAS AMAZED at the volume yesterday and during the last 2 weeks there has been a constant seller who looks to have finished on friday,interesting who has bought all this and the seller,the share price is cheap down here on a pe of 12,and the yield with corp fin now making money with the addidtion of bids which may may be this year,for them to get involved in ,this is a very good play thus my purchase,besides i use them as well nice to try and get some fees back,from making money from the stock!!! i hope you like the logic..

I think this is looking particularly interesting at the moment. Using consensus estimates it's trading around 11-12x 2010 estimated eps and you get paid to own it with a 5% yield. Looking at a couple of the broker notes they are assuming FTSE100 levels well below the current level, so even if markets go nowhere for the rest of the year, estimates will have to rise. The stock appears to be on a discount to the other Private Client asset managers as well - maybe someone can tell me why that should be. If you are bullish of markets, this stock is geared into that, and if you are worried about interest rates rising, well that will help their earnings as well. Directors buying just about seals it for me.
Looking at the trades going through there are size orders. I wonder if one of the institutions that bought in the recent placing at 135p is flipping them on, and that's what is holding the stock back at the moment. I can't help thinking that once the seller is done, or we get the next news from the company, the stock should start to move back towards the 170p+ range that it seemed so comfortable trading in before the correction.
Any insights from others very gratefully received....

i bought 25000 shares last week at £1.40,there are tgts of £1.60 to £2.00 for the stock,there has been quite large volume over the last week which also i find interesting,at the moment the buyers have the upeer hand..i was looking at the £1.25 level but there have been strong buy notes out on the stock last week..thus the purchase
