Agree. However PE now just over 10 for current year less than 10 for next year. Considering over 20% growth, not including aquisition, on the fundamentals this looks good at this price.

looking oversold but would not like to still be in if price dips below 390

"It is logical that our successful container desk is wholly-owned within Braemar Seascope's broking operation and we are pleased to expand our interest in this important market."

Can't argue with that.

"Sale and purchase activity has also begun well,
with an emphasis on newbuilding business which will benefit future years as
well. This business, coupled with an increase in our time charter activity,
maintains the forward order book close to a record high level."
Apparently no ill effect from Clarkson's poaching Case and Brynteson, then (see previous post).

CLARKSON PLC

Acquisition of Sale and Purchase Team

Clarkson PLC ('Clarksons') confirms that it has now completed the acquisition of
a new Sale and Purchase ('S&P') team.

Clarksons PLC is delighted to announce that Andi Case and Julian Brynteson will
be leaving Braemar Seascope, to join Clarksons respectively as Managing Director
of H. Clarkson & Company Limited, the principal trading subsidiary, and Managing
Director of Sale and Purchase. Additionally, Simon Jones is joining from
Simpson Spence & Young ('SSY') and will add further strength to the London S&P
team. Julian and Simon bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the S&P
broking business in London and their arrival coincides with the key additions to
our Hong Kong team where Martin Rowe will join from SSY Hong Kong, taking over
as Managing Director of Sale and Purchase, Clarksons Asia Hong Kong. Martin
will be responsible for growing our Asian S&P presence and will be joined by
Marco Chan, also from SSY Hong Kong.

I Agree, I hold modest amounts of both, BMS does look better, but i am hoping for industry consolidation in due course, just being patient.

Rather better results than Clarkson's, as the market reaction reflects.

Yes. There used to be a lot more discussion on the Clarkson bb, but even that seems to have dried up. Presumably new building has restored the supply/demand balance in shipping and steady growth is now the aim, though container-port operators seem in demand. The outcome of current WTO talks could have some effect.

This share seems to be completely ignored, which is how I like it. Should be heading back to 420p soon - at least!

The results, while good, were very much in line with Clarkson's, and contained no surprises.
