From a positive view, cash reserves now at BP, would prob mean 370s if crude takes a tumble which it ought to - given opec can do nothing about supply shifts in energy

ultimately down to how you see crude panning out obviously

worth noting, BP was low 200s before crude rally.

Crude will trade 72s again, wherever that takes BP. Big moment for BP then

Personally id have just sold it off and reassessed when crude hits its natural zone

Much prefer targeting such prices long term. Even if they dont sell off, can be months to years around grey zone

Fine if just want the yield i suppose. but its a capital risk now to

for long termers, well, BP 6 month chart, its now a triple hit/spike of a big price. A simple thing but rarely see them work out well. You need a good month lol

I see crude is forming a kind of double head and shoulders scenario. Current price and a bigget one at 72s. i dont really really look for such things but so obvious on daily chart, worth a mention to those that do

Oil price might hold steady, there is no justification for any price rise.

Hi Scruff1. I totally agree with everything you have written. Well done, spot on. I remember when Theresa May signed us up for the Climate Change Act, and you're right, not a lot of debate, was had, and we won't ever come out of the ECHR. Perhaps WEF is the evolution in politics, which I detest!

My view is that blaming the "WEF" and "COP" is a crutch for people who do not like what their politicians are doing. So in COP ,for example, the UK government under the Tories has taken a leading role. Elected UK politicians have CHOSEN to push COP hard - they have not been made do it by any outside force. COP26 under Alok Sharma in the UK was very ambitious because the UK was very ambitious under Boris Johnson.

If British voters do not like that then they should vote for someone else. However climate-friendly policies enjoy huge voter support which is why there is only one anti-green party (Reform).

need the super rich to pull the plug, who cares what the poor (lazy) want.

never seen the Conservatives throw so much free cash at these people... they got nothing to moan about.

Why does this country insist of punishing and alienating its most successful businesses. Beggars belief. This guy will be a disaster.

So labour are launching GB Energy from windfall taxes on energy companies, does anybody else think that to spite them Bp might take a listing in the US?
