Close your shorts you suckers.... or get burnt. Rightly or wrongly the rise in oil prices shows no signs of abating and with each pull back serves more rocket fuel for the next leg up. Commodities in general may continue to enjoy a much longer rise.

BP Will know more than most players in the market whether the current oil price is sustainable and obviously as they have Dividend payments and Debt interest to service they are likely to hedge their Oil production if they think Oil price likely to drop back...........

The outlook is so much better than where they were a year ago when Oil was last at $63/bbl yet the share price is half.

The penny will eventually drop.....6 more weeks until Q1 ends and we get another cycle of results....

Slinky, let's face it, your mates tips have been dire Your last one when you said buy and it went up 5-6 points was followed by you saying "no words" or similar as if to say he's got it right. It was followed by a big drop, so any credibility has gone out of the window.Even a broken clock is right twice a day. He'll get it right at some point.

It would be great to see a nice move up in the morning and over the next week.

Oil up 12% and BP down 15% over the last month with the economic outlook improving [in the press coverage] during the last week.

I really can't see why anyone would be short at the moment and the zerohedge article summed up my feelings (so I must be going mad LOL).

Shops and restaurants could require people to show vaccine passports under plans being considered by the government, the foreign secretary has suggested.

Dominic Raab said that the government was considering their use at the “domestic or local level”. His comments appear to put him at odds with Downing Street, which has repeatedly ruled out the use of vaccine passports within the UK. The government is working on plans for the use of vaccine passports to enable international travel.

Vaccine Passport would mean travel re-opens...Boom Boom for Oil consumption....

I'm getting same info sent to me by my pal on oil optimism . Massive gap up in the morning going to happen. Let's hope we smash through and target the upper gaps so that the lower ones are not an issue for while, or ever for that matter if the momentum keep going. Figures of vaccine roll out and fall in Covid stats are startling. Come on world, give us all a break. Fingers and toes crossed.

BP hasn't moved with oil yet...US consuming more than they can pump as refiners ramp up gasoline so not much to export.Sounds like they will not reinstate 2M barrels a day as high risk financing now.Supply and demand is driving the price increases.

"It’s radio silence from opec plus members so far...some members are clearly favoring the option of not easing output when they meet in March, but we haven’t heard from Russia yet"

What happens when economies re-open but if Opec refuses to increase output to meet additional demand? You have the perfect ingredients for a spike.....potentially...A possibility but pure speculation on my part...Might as well milk the cow as much as possible before Green takes over from 2030.....
