Last week US Inventories were higher than the market liked. Today it is announced that 2/3rds of the Gulf wells are shut down for the impending hurricanes...is it not very likely that the inventories were built to cope with this weeks loss of production.
I am only a country lad but this seems all is going to plan. In the meantime oil drops in price along with sentiment...

Time to get bullish on BP. Apart from the obvious reasons to buy like oversold, divi. I quite like the links to Microsoft and also the fact Ford sold more trucks recently allowing them to beat expectations. Trucks eat far more fuel than most cars. I don't think the sustainable mindset is going to be a tailwind trend just yet, still very much in the headwind. Also when it does BP are doing something about it. Strong buy

Research the sad face chart while stocks are beaten down. This formation is definitely the start of a decent rally. I expect BP too re-adjust back to a more understandable level. Then upwards again once some uncertainty is over. 1st stop210, then 222, 227 etc. I feel 280 is a good value level until the world finds solutions.
