Rmc100, by asking that question you display a fundamental misunderstanding about what moves share prices. You are basically asking "anyone know what the amount of buy orders will be relative to sell orders, and the quantities involved over the next 3 years?". That is impossible to answer, nobody knows, nor can they predict collective human behaviour. The only thing you can do is look at the company's reports and assets, and ask yourself if you would buy BP for £58 billion pounds today or not. If yes, buy the shares, if no, don't. But don't try and guess what other people or computer algos will think it's worth

Sbb1x - "The next 2 updates will be shocking for all oil companies"

That's what the market's expecting, that's why the share price is where it is and it's mostly priced in. Traders/investors know the bottom is now or very near and are accumulating.

The fact that you say "Anyone buying now is trying to guess the bottom what is a mugs games" indicates to me that the bottom is not far off. Best to be accumulating here than when the upward trend is obvious as it results in a more significant profit.

I wish you luck with your strategy, but I for one have started accumulating ;-)
