15/10/2020 16:16 | the stinger, price is spiking up now, you may have to buy back your shares more expensively, there is no guarantee it will go sub £2 and let you buy them back. I'd be careful, the market likes to drop to psychological levels like this after a long down trend, where people are "sure it will go sub £2", throw in the towel, sell their holdings at a ludicrous price, then comes a big rally. | counterpartymw
15/10/2020 16:14 | Love to see Exxon come in for a £3 offer and see what looney said to it. Aye no probs 🎣 | linton5
15/10/2020 16:10 | Although the aptly named "Looney" has written down the book value of the assets by billions, I assume that the oil is still in the ground and the rights still belong to BP and some or all of it could be recovered if the oil price goes higher, which I personally expect. Or have I got this wrong? I am now holding at 230p and happy to stay here for a bit for income as I don't expect BP will dare to touch the dividend with the share price so low. From memory after the Gulf rig fire with the share price in the low £3 pounds Exxon was said to be looking at BP. Well they're cheaper now! Although HMG might not like it, and don't the UK Gov hold a golden share giving them the last word, or have I mis-remembered this? A merger of some kind might be more possible. | cobourg1

15/10/2020 14:11 | Looney is the major cause of this demise, he is hardly likely 'to step up to the mark'! | optomistic
15/10/2020 12:52 | Fairly safe bet long term, generous dividend and this time next year I'd say in a different place. Furthermore it's at an extended line area and basically double bottom. I've started phasing in. | theaviator
15/10/2020 12:42 | quite a few plonkers on here at the moment.who knows where this is going but probability is up given a few pence. | sr2day
15/10/2020 12:19 | I'm buying as this drops. In addition to weak oil price, climate change deniers are full of rage and selling out. The company is hated and being punished. Momentum is down. Once this has blown over there will be significant value left here, which in my view makes it a buy. Absolutely no idea how low this can go. | shieldbug
15/10/2020 12:08 | I've sold out , will buy back sub £2 | the stinger

15/10/2020 10:53 | Maybe if Looney stepped up to the mark and steady's the ship, isn't this his role as the boss . | brownbear3
