Dudley to get a 20% pay rise to £14M?! And that's on top of a 25% raise just 2 years ago. Absolutely unwarranted, unwise and unacceptable. Another BP arrogance. Sadly, too few institutions will vote against it at the AGM and too many other shareholders have their shares in nominee accts.

FYI, the last full year report of average salary for FTSE 100 CEO's is £4.96M

Bracke, how would that gap be classed, is it one to be filled or a continuation gap?

thanks but too technical for me bracke. I normally stick to beta's, bollingers, balance sheets and boardroom totty for investment decisions. and if that fails then pretty pics of boobs, butts, breasts and buns normally suffice!

Let's have less of this negative thinking. If Uncle Bob gets his pay rise he may try a little harder. In the meantime here's a pretty chart for you to look at.

All being well (I don't guarantee it) but maybe, just maybe the share price will reach the green Median Line (middle green line. Now that would be nice wouldn't it.

A large percentage of Americans believe O'Bama and his cronies are a disaster too dafrog. Uncle_sam is an unreconstructed flag-waver.

He'll be gone in a few years when the good ole US of A is a Hispanicnation!

@Uncle Sam. What a pathetic, idiotic response. BP was shafted by Obama as have many UK financial institutions. His hatred was obvious. How many died as a result of Piper Alpha? How much compensation did Occidental pay? I transited Houston last Thursday. A few hours queuing as a transit passenger shows how thoughtful, inefficient and caring the US can be so don't give me your bile.

"Crude oil prices are back to or near the March high and a significant resistance point. If oil prices can break above this level, investor sentiment towards commodities should receive a further boost," said ANZ Research.

Crude prices have been rangebound for weeks as the market awaits the outcome of a meeting in Doha this Sunday at which major producers, such as Saudi Arabia and Russia, are scheduled to discuss a possible production freeze.

Oil spill settlement to be tax deducted, that should put some more on the bottom line.

Hopefully us oil rig count will come in lower when announced later today together with Doha anticipation after Kuwait remarks should provide further boost to price on mon. All else being equal. IMO.

BP should be taking action against those that caused the disaster. Obama and his legal thugs attacked BP because it is not American. Our useless 'government' took no interest: BP should.

the 'lets limit oil production to help everyone' deal may not happen........I feel there is quite a long way to go now with the deliberate oversupply issue

Even IF (big IF) they sign an agreement; they cheat. It's happened before but you wouldn't expect them to keep to their word would you?.......they are politicians.
