When is the verdict on 'blame' coming. Wasn't it supposed to be anytime after the beginning of September 13?

Don't you think BP are in enough trouble. Why would they want to risk the 'unwashed' camping on the doorstep of HQ demonstrating for weeks on end?

gary38 - 13 Jan 2014 - 23:14 - 3899 of 3901Bp a british company have not put any money towards shale gas search here which would creat English jobs and help English business plus the protection of this country in the shape of energySecurity. It takes a french company to invest their money to do what our big companies should be doing for their country.Shows how patriotic they are,I bet if they put it to a vote to their share holders here if they would want to get involve in the(which i am one) shale gas story it would be yes yes yes .I am now thinking of selling my shares in Bp and putting the money in IGAS,English patriotic company.FLY THE FLAG FOR ENGLANDFRACK NOW MOVEMENT.STAND AND BE COUNTED.SHAME ON YOU BP.haydock - 13 Jan 2014 - 23:21 - 3900 of 3901Note report that East Cheshire CC. has stated will not allow fracking. Are all I-gas sites in W. Cheshire ?Is the more Easterly block all in Staffs ?  gary38 - 13 Jan 2014 - 23:23 - 3901 of 3901I wonder why Bob Dudley Ceo of BP is not Investing in English energy security , English jobs and Business?. Barring a nasty event; yes I know BP is good at those; the share buyback programme should keep the share price on an even keel.

Afternoon all! Just looking in to see what's occurin'
The monkey has resumed coverage of BP following a period of calm during which he has put me in the likes of BARC and MRW. Still holding more March sugar than Tate and Lyle, but that's another story.
Waiting for the planets to line up on the GBP. Diving in and out of the likes of POG and FRES while things settle here. TLW under the cosh today, so any drops here might be sector specific. Litigation over this spill likely to last years.
Trade we'll and prosper Earthlings.......

Ironhorse

There was an RNS this morning. Look at the other BP thread. MIATA has pointed me in the right direction to attempt to answer this question.

About time BP took legal action to get compensation from the companies and people that caused the disaster. Start with haliburton.

FFS Cameron, stand-up and protect a predominantly British interest. The French would do it. This is becoming an agent for state-sponsored welfare and non-linked local economic stimulus.

Even as BP (BP) faces potentially $90 billion in business economic loss claims for its oil spill, its stock continues to march to highs not seen before the spill itself in addition to dividends paid out. It's almost as the company has made no provision at all in regards to its economic loss claims.
