Looking here and LSE, I think a lot of this dip is profit taking from people who were on board with the recent changes but are now getting cold feet. Not overly concerned.

no one is selling for 40p as they could hve sold at 38p.. Those holding till now will be waiting a far higher value.

nick, nothing has changed. it is still a waiting game, but now with a new management, hopefully less overhead costs and still with a huge etinde to come.

Seems to be some doubt creeping into the share price We've ousted the last management, so hopefully it's just oil price sentiment related.

What was yesterday's 6.3m new shares all about ? Anyone any idea who they were given too ? And was there any exercise price or were they freebies ? I wonder if the share price weakness is the person given them selling them straight away ?

Massive volume again today. Something clearly going on and reminds me of the last time it got interesting. Perhaps end game is approaching?

Didn't Hart indicate that the $40m held over from the farmout would cover the 20% share of the appraisal drilling costs.

As far as cash goes, the question must be exactly how much remained after the Billy desperation splurge. Certainly below $90m, but how much below would, no doubt, have been the new regime's first question.

The main risks, it seems to me, must be the threat to the licences contained in the final para of SNH's press announcement in the Cameroon Tribune and then the size of the dowry that might be required to shuffle off Bomono

I'm wondering how much of that cash will be returned, though drilling Etinde will take some of it then.

Eventually sell ETINDE after appraisal drilling which has a good chance of proving asset has significantly greater value.

What happens if COC hit 30%, then make a derisory offer, say 40p and it does not succeed?

Can COC then carry on buying as much as they like over 30% and gain full control?

Is the mission to return cash, sell Etinde and eventually dissolve the company eventually?

As long as there are no shocks in the accounts, then I wouldn't have thought there is any downside risk at this level IMO.

BarCap resigning - probably told they were no longer needed.
Dont expect COC to offer a firm bid whilst the old guard are exercising and selling their options/shares.

As the share drifts lower and the impatient leave we should do well to remember that COC bought at higher prices including a large tranche at 34p.

Clearly THEY are expecting a far higher return.

We waited Sooooo long for KH to deliver; I can wait a few more months for a return here. Its just about time now imo.

That is what I am doing. I think there might be some truth to the story production will start in second half so expecting an update later this month or next and COC to be a buyer of 2-3% more.

Price of Oil hitting sentiment today. As long as there are no shocks from the BLVN accounts, then we should expect COC to deliver some value back. As already stated, things are much better now they are in control of matters.

Another holding announcement soon? Someone is working it down to take more of a position. I am surprised we are still seeing sellers here given that one way or another we are likely to see a higher price and potential for 50p+.

White knights or nearer to 30% for easier ride and a plan we are not yet aware of. I hope white knight is the outcome but let's see if they turn into a dark lord at this point. I don't think we will see any news until they cross this point but it could take quite a while with the current churn of share stock and we may well see price drops to facilitate purchase of same.
