We are probably looking at more than 6 months now anyway even if the cash comes through tomorrow and initially we'll be without V.
Presumably a JV would initiate a favourable effect on the share price so if you didn't wish to be part of the bigger picture you could always sell.
Anyway all conjecture and likely BS but what else do the runes tell us?

True, but it still could be a lengthy process. If a bigger plant is built we might be looking at another year until production starts? It's a bit of a long wait for some.

I just don't get why it's taken the best part of a year to sort funding out, and we are still non the wiser.

Why does it have to wait for the AGM? Wouldn't they convene a EGM for the purpose?
If it is a JV the original plant design would probably go out of the window. A much bigger plant would be required to accommodate the increased load from Kabwe and from Star. What that would mean for permits I haven't a clue (on that and much else).

Apparently (from the other board) they are about to submit or resubmit the EPB for Vanadium shortly. Some dispute apparently with ZEMA over whether it should be an EIA or and EPB? All beyond my ken!

If a JV happens and it needs shareholder approval, I'm guessing it will be voted for at the AGM. Correct me if I'm wrong, the AGM won't be held until around Jan next year. Have we got enough money in the bank to last another 3 months? So if the JV is agreed on, it means waiting at least another 3 months until we receive funding. That could set the plant build back well into 2018, and means another placing is likely this year.

Repeated often on here and other places that AB is the master of the fundraise - it's his forte! The assets we hold are worth multiples of what it would cost to get the metals to market so we'd have no problem getting finance? But we obviously are; whether by accident or design. The plant and the relevant permits are not moving forward to any discernible degree. I find it difficult to believe that this has not been orchestrated to enable a JV. The coincidence of SZ being JV'd and now being fast tracked implies that there is something afoot on a grander scale and that BMR will become merely a bit player, mildly profitable for us holders maybe but something less than the original dream. Nothing from recent history implies that there is any motivation to carry on alone.

Talk of a JV, why? I know they have been less than economic with newsflow but there cannot be that much of a material change in circumstance. Alex at least has been one to tell it how it is and has followed a path of corporate governance which has proved honest up till now. There have not been the leaks of the past. The JLP conjecture comes from a web cast in which Lead Zinc and Zambia were mentioned. Could have been a copper asset with lead and zinc credits. We don’t know. Until he sees fit to reveal the hand played we are wedded to the duo. Hopefully they do pull of a deal to complete, process and produce. Alex and Jeremy have sucked a few more players in and urged the participating to increase their interest. We shall see if they are on the Christmas card or wanted list.
QS and I will be manufacturing some unsavoury treats for the AGM if this doesn’t strike an accord with paid up participators. QS’s method of delivery is rather unorthodox but the presentation is stunning and the gratuitous use of instruments and inflection is simply outrageous. He will prove beyond doubt that he is a master of his art. It is advised that one wears suitable protective clothing, as not all aspects of the adoption of the “Method”, used to transform the characters in the performance, are fully control. The facilitators will not accept any liability for pre or post performance trauma.

A JV will give this enough of a kick in the pants to allow an exit with a reasonable return. AIM is just playing with numbers, ethics are extinct.

GSG, Agree they need a kick up the backside. The plant build has obviously slowed down, that's why they haven't provided any regular photos.

I doubt BMR will need to raise any additional cash if they do a JV deal with Jubilee. The deal will probably give BMR all the money they need to complete / expand the plant, and have a bit of change for working capital until we start production.

Yes, one brick at a time. They can say what they want, but they have run out of cash, and things have slowed to a crawl, just so they can say that they are progressing.

Waiting for a professional team to get involved so that they can push these assets forward. The current double act are a pair of comedians.

I have a feeling they'll do a JV with JLP on Kabwe. They have $50m in their back pocket. It would'nt surprise me if BMR simultaneously also raise cash in some way. Rights issue/open offer etc. Just my opinion. Could be completely off track. Happy to hear other views.

Precisely, Alternative funding arrangements have been possible but not sought. Why is Star zinc on fast track with apparently nowhere to process it's ore? Its all sown up as in we're likely to be stitched up!

The plant is in limbo, ACI is now irrelevant and has been for a long time so why has funding against this massive resource pile been so difficult to find or has it even been sought? Why is the Star Zinc evaluation on fast track where will it the ore be refined, certainty not in the plant originally envisaged and due for completion this quarter. JV, new/revised plant, old plant put on hold until deal finalised. Simple.
