Wasn't QS saying the money would be with us by Monday? Looks like he's got this one all wrong.

Can you still smell the money QS or did you mistake that smell for something else... BS!?

If ACI is willing to fund us for an off take agreement, then I'm sure another company would be willing to do the same. If any finance deal put us at risk of bankruptcy, then I'm sure AB wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. He has his own money invested here.

I would rather him raise money through a placing than go down any dodgy avenues. We still have a full day tomorrow so let's see what happens where ACI is concerned.

There won't exactly be a queue of people ready to lend money to BMR and Alex Borelli, even at very high rates. Just look at AB's past performance as a CEO; would you lend him money? So selling a hefty chunk of Kabwe to a JV partner would be the best thing to do (OK, 50% was maybe a bit too much).

Also, you don't seem to realise how destructive a death spiral fund raising would be to shareholder value. This company is teetering on the edge. It won't actually go bankrupt tomorrow, but bankruptcy could well become almost inevitable.

If AB says he has two conditional proposals, then that's exactly what he has. Wouldn't it look bad on him if we walked away from ACI and then he announced we haven't got any offers on the table? He's not going to put himself in that position.

Anyone in his position would have looked at alternatives, given that we have been waiting months for ACI to deliver on their end of the bargain. I don't see AB giving them anymore time, it's now or never!

Just checking in... Yes, of course the problem lies with ACI and not with BMR. I don't understand how people can regard ACI as a serious company when the most elementary business checks reveal them to be spivs and opportunists. Also, I notice on the LSE board that some posters are thinking that AB may extend the deadline for the payment from ACI tomorrow. IF (note that IF) AB did do this, then it would be a very bad sign indeed, because it would mean that the "potential alternative finance deals" that AB boasted of in the last RNS were little more than hot air and bluff.
Anyway, GLA. I hope this doesn't get nasty. The best outcome now might be some kind of JV deal with Metal Tiger, or a sale of 50% of Kabwe in return for financing the plant.

I hope you're right, Fireball, because I'd like to make some money on this share, and the assets do have potential. But make no mistake, the fat lady is in the wings and she's practising her scales and trills. Anyway, we'll find out if she's coming on stage on Friday, possibly in an after hours RNS.

Kryptonsnake - we've actually studied this question, at least in preliminary detail. However, it's complicated, and there's no appetite to get into a business relationship with the current (hopeless) management.

I'm with Winston on this one:

"Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."

Wormy, you could always get your mate to buy us out if we struggle to raise cash.

If all else fails, me and QS will go halfs and finance BMR through to production lol.

Smelly - It's your money, and you're free to risk it however you wish. For me, BMR is still a firm "no" until further news. Friday could very easily mark the beginning of the end for this company.
