The announcement seems to hint that Cannon is to be sold.

Yup, hopefully progress can speed up a bit now SAU have supplemented their cash position from 'sophisticated investors'

I recall SAU paid out a div not so long ago. Maybe SM is regretting that decision. They need a decision on Cannon and fairly soon.

The articles I posted last week proved useful to me anyway.
Got into FRES and these might show some interest if the gold price holds.
It is true though the bigger producers tend to move first.

hazl,

Why don't you just admit it, gold has performed badly this year to date?

I was simply replying to your "gold went up slightly yesterday" comment with a view taken over 9 months, which is a far longer period of time.

As BMV are not yet mining anything, it's not a problem, although raising finance whilst the gold price is still falling might be.

Things go in cycles Andy you and I both know this.

I am gathering the odd article for the future because that's what counts.

Bo,

Agreed, they keep saying it long enough, with vague timeframes, and then can claim guru status when eventually a downturn comes!

The trouble with presentations at mining forms is they are always pro the industry, nobody wants to hear a guy calling gold or copper down, so those speakers aren't invited. They know what the audience want to hear, so they get guys that will conform to their expectations.
