Re; Altyn, chequered history but 70% shares owned by controlling family so very small free float. Number of shares in issue irrelevant, focus on the market cap!

Assets are world class.

Production problematic for years due to lack of Capex but majority owners have invested over $50 million. Recently, they’ve secured nearly $20 million for Capex investment to improve production via bank loan and bond issue ( no mean feat in this market).

If they turn production around it will multi bag + the assets alone are worth 10x market cap if someone buys them out. 5 million Jorc reserves and 10 million resources are worth something in the current gold macro environment.

Won’t post further on this as this is BMV thread ..

Andy,

Altyn are very lax in many many ways and have been serial disappointers, but the latest RNS, and the timing of it, tentatively suggests that the corner is about to be turned. It might be worth a deeper look (disclaimer - I hold)

Dream,

LOL!

I looked at Altyn, and the presentation on their website is 4 years old! I see it's the old Hambledon Mining, after reincarnating through two name changes! I wonder if everyone in Kazakstan is called Assaubayev? Or are most of the board from the same family?

edit

I see Altyn are updating their website and are increasing production, it's just the presentation that is so far out of date!

Hi Altyn have 2 billion shares in issue - says it all really as its a company that have never got things going - BMV have hardly any shares In issue, directors are the biggest holders who have injected personnel cash - we have permits and mine with gold and infrastructure in place - we are good to go

Our mgt are experienced but nearing the end of their careers. I'm sure they want to go out on a bang and are focused on success, but if financing continues to elude....something has to give

dream,

The financing here has taken so long I think some people actually want to see it confirmed first before committing.

So many AIM listed mining exploration and development companies have disappointed over the last few years that I think people have become hesitant, especially when there are better choices on other markets that they can trade easily and cheaply online these days.

Rakepat , agreed but Altyn is even better , with 5 million reserves and 10 million Jorc resources, improving production profile from 10,000 oz in 2019. I’m equally invested there and here.

Looking forward to news in the coming days and weeks, undervalued still - best gold stock around for potential triple value in the coming year

I quite agree SAU currently look really undervalued with respect to BMV. The exploration side clearly makes them more risky with undefined costs and likely dilution. However the boost from any Gold production would be proportionately more. It might be that BMV see the opportunity to freewheel, piggybacking on future SAU metal discoveries in South Korea by formulating future 50:50 joint ventures. That would make BMV a great reward play with relatively little risk. It’s an interesting discussion, I am almost all in BMV but considering selling to add SAU

Tedious?

These forums are for DISCUSSION of shares, and if you don't like relevant comparisons being made with other companies, then these boards may not be the right place for you.

The other option of course is to filter those posters whose posts cause you angst, leaving those that want to read the thread to make their own decisions.

-------

"It is absolutely reasonable that two different companies will have different valuations."

Is it absolutely reasonable for two companies, with exactly the same share of a project, to have valuations over 100% apart, as with Southern Gold And Bluebird?

And if IYO it is, which one would you expect to be more than double the other, the one that has finance in place and a myriad of other decent projects, or the company that has still not raised finance?

The comparison is very valid, IMO, and in answer to your question, IMO, Southern Gold look very undervalued in comparison to Bluebird.

Of the two companies, which do you expect to rise the most in percentage terms if production commences?

Looks like we have our own resident cuckoo... I've never heard of finacle before so had to look it up and it appears to be some sort of banking product.
Company's can choose a fiscal year end and 6th April is the start of the UK tax year which has nothing to do with when accounts are due. By your logic there would be a log jam of reports all due on the same day.
Recent placings have no doubt been spent on holidays abroad and lavish meals and not on business matters lol.

You are really quite stupid arent you. If you bothered to look you will see that the accounts are not past due.

Are they the interims or the full year accounts? Why do you think they are due now?
