The next bunch of names/investment managers had total of 24m.

Schroders bit confusing as showing they hold 4.99% 16.9m, but Blackbird website not showing.

So I looked at Bloomberg for other holders of BIRD.

Here’s a small list of the fund managers with significant holdings.

There obviously more lower down, but can’t be bothered to post.

Charles Stanley 12.5m

JM Finn & Co 9.5m

Jarvis Investment Managers 9.5m

Marlborough Fund Managers 7.5m

GPIM Ltd 6m

You all really need to read RNS carefully.

There are none "serious number" of shares floating for the peasants.

BIRD has been up-scaled.

Not rocket science.

ISA or Sipp top ups will rock the boat

Sunbeam.

Apologies didn’t realise they owned that many.

However as I said the important thing is they had no issue offloading the shares, because we know they didn’t trade them in the market.

I think we make a steady move back up from here.

One decent RNS and we will be straight back up to recent highs of 40p, in my opinion.

The rns june 2nd states schroders reduced they're holding from 9.88% to below 5%. It would be good if you could post bloombergs numbers on major share holders tomorrow to see who has taken what as I also don't think the shares entered the market. Thanks cabi & cc.

Agreed CC.

That’s the important thing, the shares didn’t trade in the market.

Shares just changed hands, so sell off overdone in my opinion.

People got spooked because they saw institutions selling, so looked at it negatively.

However other institutions saw it as an opportunity, as they know they can never have bought this size in market, without pushing up the price significantly, as there’s not much free float.

I’ll check Bloomberg tomorrow as I get a complete breakdown of who owns BIRD.

The evidence is that whatever shares Schroder off loaded they didn't go through the open market as the volumes then would have shown it plainly. So that suggests the volume held by institutional investors has remained roughly the same but spread differently among the holders.

Sunbeam.

Schroders have never owned 33 million shares.

I believe it was around 19 million, which you can also see here from May 2021.

So that’s 5.7%, and let’s say they are now at 2.99% then that’s 9 million shares they offloaded.

We know for sure that it didn’t trade in the market as we checked volumes.

So Canaccord we recon took 5 million and the rest probably placed elsewhere off exchange.

It does look like canaccord have picked up an extra 5m odd shares but what am I missing re schroders holdings? They had approx 33m shares prior rns, now some sites say they hold 4.99% ie 16m odd but bird website does not show them as holding more than 3%? (Has an assumption of 4.99% been made based on the rns stating less than 5%?)  If they hold less than 3% ie 2.99%, approx 10m shares then 23m shares must have come onto the market, even if they hold 5% then 16m shares must have become available but if they sold they're entire holding then the whole 33m became available.

The firm focuses on growth companies.

They must like the growth prospects for the BIRD then.

Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. is a global, full-service investment banking and financial services company that specializes in wealth management and brokerage in capital markets. It is the largest independent investment dealer in Canada.[5][6] The firm focuses on growth companies, with operations in 10 countries worldwide and the ability to list companies on 10 stock exchanges. Canaccord Genuity, the international capital markets division, is based in Canada, with offices in the US, the UK

And here is a website that’s still not been updated to show Canaccord’s previous holdings of 14.5 million, for anyone who doubts me.

Excellent finding Cab-1, as I mentioned it before I have lifetime investment in BB,though price came more than 35% but not a single share sold, instead added some more . Very confident on its technology and the team, enjoying part of the thread. SSB sent me coins few weeks back but struggling to join, May be I am little older for now technology. Looking forward to break 40 p barrier soon.

Well done Cabi, I hinted someone took other side, but the peasants didn't like me being bullish.

How many flip flops have we lost?

So it’s confirmed Canaccord bought Schroders shares off exchange, so this sell off is well overdone.

Shares just changed hands.

The major shareholder page just been updated, and Canaccord holdings up by 5 million shares.

They are selling via top tier OEM’s so I don’t think that’s a concern.
