I have a feeling there are not many BIRD shares available to the public market anymore.
No advice

Hornblower Probably more Teams features maybe graphics templates for corporate house styles more sophisticated media management that will be needed with bigger storage more Team users and project tracking
I don’t see why they can’t add enough of that by paid launch Q1
The hard Cloud video development for the most part has been achieved imho |
Who is making our market?
Horrible. Our is it something else.

Nick, what should we be expecting to be added on in order to charge for the 'full' service...apart from extra, fast storage? |
Dunno why Borio doesn’t just sell his 36 BIRD shares, bore off and wallow in his horde of gold dubloons. It’s obviously eating away at him that we’re on the verge of big £££ and the FOMO is killing him/her/them.

elevate works without plug-ins |
Miles away then.
Thought so. |
" How's the marketplace going? "
plug-ins can have serious security issues ..so.. it isn't a case of taking in any plug-in and just accepting it... look at all the vulnerabilities something like WordPress has with all their plug-ins
You almost need a sandbox setup facility to test them before even thinking of letting anything loose on a main system |
Both can exist at the same time.
How's the marketplace going? |
The plan is Q1 2025
Is progress slow, or are you just short on patience? |
I'm guessing they're being cautious, they make reference to the lack of outage and the system being to handle the number of users
did they ever get Safari working? |
horneblower,
Progress has to be slow.... in order to be able to secure share Options at 5.833p :-) |
Hard to say Joe. We aren't in their shoes. Last thing we and they want is to rush things out to keep us punters happy. I'm ok letting them get on with it at their pace. Without faith in the management there is no investment case. I've not come across any better investment case elsewhere to be honest. |
Very true short but progress has been slow just hope they bring forward date for paying service as that would indicate they are done and happy to charge!!! |
When people say that progress is slow they are really only concerned with the share price. If it was flying they wouldn't be posting such things. |
When people say they have the impression that progress is rather slow, I think the most likely explanation is that understandably they don't understand how much work is needed to plan precisely all the platform design and its components, and assemble them, which includes designing and writing all the software! I would certainly have no way on earth of knowing that! |
Not ‘Launch’ but ‘general release’ this was discussed at an investormeet presentation at the time.
A lot has been done since March
In my opinion we are at a point of being able to open it up to more users which seems to be what’s happening as we ramp up to Q1
I would speculate they are following a carefully crafted plan, but that’s me! |
The impression that I and some others seem to get is that progress is rather slow. IM announced the launch of e.io last February, I think, and here we are in October and still pre-launch.
Most of us small band of tired birdwatchers understand that nothing much will happen to the share price until either a VERY large number of sign-ups of the current version is announced, or the 'pro-stage' version of e.io is delivered.
Then the test will be in the take-up percentage of paying clients.
Roll on next Spring. |

It’s the impression I get! Do you see it differently?
What are they doing wrong and who do we replace?
Do other shareholders agree we have top talent at Blackbird?
I’m surprised this is a conversation |
NickB, You often make what sound like informed statements regarding Blackbird's employees and what they are doing. Presumably you have a direct connection, otherwise you wouldn't have access to this kind of knowledge. Perhaps, without letting out too much, you could inform us of the nature of that connection? |
We do have to leave them to get on with it. A LOT of talent working at Blackbird including very experienced non execs |
cyberhub I don't think anyone is panicking, I think some of us simply find it reassuring to understand what is going on and why. Hearing a rational explanation here may just assist some shareholders. It may well be that later today there will be a late announcement of a largish sell which would explain the decline in share price, but that would simply be because one shareholder needs liquidity at this time.
It is without doubt best to wait patiently. |

plenty of potential investors would happily pay 15-20p a share off the back of factual results data , against paying 7-8p against pure speculation ...
It also seems clear at this stage that they are being very cagey about what they give out.... for commercial reasons ... they know pretty well that everything they do at this stage is being watched closely by competitors ..
plus..you dont want a paid launch to fall flat given that right now, for example ,everyone is focused on the US election and the UK budget and their implications for business taxes, consumer spending (ww3!) etc etc
Everything is very tactical ..I suspect the next 4 months are pretty much marked out week by week... aiming to throw out new stuff in order to keep the interest and to try and meet expectations...
I suspect there are sign-ups from those who tried it early on and are now waiting to leap forward and use a more finished product as features are added to their needs...
The markets are going to be wobbly in the near term, so anyone wanting out to get some cash might be understandable..depending on their circumstances ..you can already see markets adjusting to a possible Trump win... and what that might mean !! |
