08/9/2004 14:08 | This has grown into my second largest holding. There isn't much volume going through, I guess there arn't many sellers around. I think they may now be trading ahead of forward NAV now, although that depends what value is put on the coal reserves. I've just flicked through the annual report which I only got a few weeks ago. I think the market has been slow to realise the increase in volume of coal that will be mined in 2004 compared to 2003. Also it is unclear how the ability to sell via the Richards Bay coal terminal (that only happened at the end of 2003) will impact a full years' worth of sales. - Increased margins? I guess the price of coal is helping. Well we'll get an indecation of this at the interims at the end of the month. Sam | sammu
08/9/2004 13:05 | And me. Just watching in some surprise. Since there are no forecasts, it's hard to say what these are really worth. Thought they were probably good value when I last bought in in June, but I'm a little surprised to see them up 40% already. | diogenesj
08/9/2004 11:55 | I think theres only you and me in this GF. | chester
08/9/2004 11:11 | Up 10p today. It never stops going up. Way undervalued and one could argue that the property assets are in the price for nothing and these are valued at 13 million plus. Market cap of company just over 13 million. Astonishing. regards oliver. | oliverletwintit
08/9/2004 10:41 | what a lovely company this is !! | chester
06/9/2004 13:43 | Moving ahead nicely. | chester

31/8/2004 14:35 | real beaut this one. | chester
31/8/2004 09:11 | Could be going for it again today. | chester
24/8/2004 17:58 | Yes it is quite illiquid (unlike me after the lunch I just had). What with LAS owning 40+% + some directors holdings and it's only a very small market cap. despite its recent trajectory. Sam | sammu
24/8/2004 14:52 | ticking up again nicely. It doesn't take much for these to move. | chester
23/8/2004 13:29 | Hi Wirral These two seem to have been going up in tandem over the last few days. I agree with your comments entirely. BISI Still seems cheap, despite breaking new ground today, trading at about what the end of year NAV should be. Sam | sammu
23/8/2004 13:16 | Re : switch to aim, understand your position, but I'm happy BISI are fully-listed as I hold in an ISA and the dividend is useful too. Prospects have probably never been better for BISI what with plant increasing capacity, the huge demand from China, the possibilty of new markets supplying power plants in Europe, and the price of coal continue to rise, so boosting profit margins. Their property portfolio can't be doing to bad either, so we should see an increased NAV at next results too, adding weight to their investment case. Just seen your post Sammu - no problem, and pleased to see APF doing quite nicely since you bought. | wirralowl
23/8/2004 09:07 | nice tick up today. | chester
20/8/2004 10:47 | Certainly does. I bought these many years ago. They have gone up four fold for me already. Wish they would ditch their property business and switch to AIM so that they would qualify for taper relief. | topvest
20/8/2004 10:02 | Gone Long Today. Looks very interesting. | chester
03/8/2004 13:18 | But once the Ramper has done his thing and thinks he has taken the share as high as it will go in the very short term he leaves. In a share as illiquid as this, it doen't take much volume to move the price. Off topic: Thanks for the info Wirral, I have examined the Co. any made a couple of purchases. Sam | sammu
02/8/2004 15:10 | S: yes, I think the news was enough, and the IC tip which drew attention to it. The ramper popped up on a number of threads I look at (eg EEV), but oddly failed to put in an appearance here. :-? | diogenesj |
