UVA: Yes Google has Big Yellow's PE about 10.5 and Dividend yield at 2%. Both not bad for a growth stock.

(safestore by comparison (using google figures) has PE of 11.4 and dividend yield of 1.5%).

Blimy Safestore results look good!
Should boost sector (touchwood) - if not already factored into price

Nice RNS on 14/10/21 ..

Borrowing costs going down + the news the BYG will soon be generating all of their own energy using solar on the roofs of their buildings. Storage really does not need much energy. But being energy-neutral (or even creating a surplus) has to be a boon for TEP. Good to know they can put all that roof space to good use.

It is also clear that they intend to reduce borrowing further with surplus land sales (valued at circa £100 million)

Looking at the graph this is the biggest one day fall since March 2020 (the start of the pandemic).

Big Yellow now has a PE of under 10.

That is very good for a growth company.

If you look at this planning update from last year it looks like BIG YELLOW will have continued growth up until at least 2024 and probably a long time after that.

On top of this, from safeStores update this morning it looks like the entire industry is still in a large growth phrase.

BigYellow has a significantly lower PE ratio than SafeStore

Big Yellow announces that it has secured resolutions to grant planning consents for a new 56,000 sq ft net lettable area store in North Kingston and 70,000 sq ft store in Wembley, both of which are in London.

Our new 77,000 sq ft Camberwell store opened in July and is leasing up well with occupancy after 8 weeks of 11.4%. The company has now secured planning consents on eight of the thirteen proposed stores in its development pipeline. These eight stores once constructed will provide approximately 500,000 sq ft of additional capacity.

James Gibson, Chief Executive Officer, commented

"We now have an oven-baked supply of consented sites which will allow us to build a sustainable stream of new stores over the next three to four years. We are progressing planning on our remaining development sites and continue to look to acquire more development land and replenish the pipeline as stores open."

any experts here?
Does Big Yellow tend to do better in the Autumn as independent small shops use Big Yellow storage to hold their Christmas stock. Or is it the Spring when more people move house? Or is there no specific time of year that is better than another time of year?
Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance

Low PE big profits.
Lots of money being made out of:
1. House moves
2. Extra storage of "products" due to brexit worries.
3. Covid uncertainity so mothballed gear stored here too.

I think this looks a great investment.

Not surprised has been making highs of late..

Has very few input costs this company. hardly any heating or lighting needed and little maintenance; not that many staff either come to that. But plenty of freedom to raise prices as it sees fit

This company is a price setter, not a price taker so a good place to be should inflation hit.

Not a trader

Been here a decade and made 250% so far

also made another 50% approx in dividends.

Can't see the need for storing things going out of fashion so will be here another decade I reckon

Given what has been going on of late these are very encouraging numbers. Revenue, cash flow and dividend are all higher and eps is only lower because of a negative revaluation review. Solid hold in these uncertain times.

Solid numbers this morning with revenue, eps and dps comfortably ahead of last year. The acquisition of new sites also offers further growth from here.

steady progress everywhere including new openings.

Storage doesn't date, go off or go out of fashion.

Oh and it does not need any maintenance either

Looking forward to the full year.
