23/2/2008 02:54 | I received my copy of the offer document on Thursday. Yes, it would be silly to accept right away, when the shares are 18p above the offer price, or sell when the downside is limited to 350p I sold SCTN at 758p before their bid was increased from 720p first to 750p and then to 800p, however I had been in from 388p so selling was a bit of a no-brainer. I purchased my BIFF shares last September @ 237p :) | coogar
22/2/2008 16:25 | I nearly sold these a couple of weeks back but the restricted market size was against me. I'm happy to hold on now... think at least 400p might be possible. | coogar
22/2/2008 15:53 | Consider a move to SKS (same line of business) when Biffa upturn steadies.. | w.bramley

22/2/2008 11:25 | 350p= 1.2bil 437=1.5bil surely this will be a starting point if a bid comes. Take it from here and 425p is not that far out. I still would hold on and 475p is quite realistic | ![]() inv
22/2/2008 11:00 | Being such a desirable company, with possibly more than one buyer interested, a bidding war could develop and inv post may well come true. Both have been reported in articles I have read. If not Pete/Mitzis have it I think...... A great position to be in either way........... | groover66
22/2/2008 10:39 | I agree with you mitzis,390-400p. | 46pete

22/2/2008 10:29 | Further bid will come at around 425p. Bidding war could develop and this could go to 475p | ![]() inv

22/2/2008 07:19 | London shares outlook - Weak after drops in New York, Asia; Lloyds TSB key LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Leading shares look set for an opening decline this morning, retracing some of yesterday's gains after sharp falls overnight on Wall Street and in Asia amid heightened US recession worries, with FY numbers............. On the M&A front, Biffa could be active after the Daily Telegraph reported that private equity firm Terra Firma is in talks with French industrial group Suez to launch a 1.5 bln stg counter offer for the waste management company. Earlier this month Biffa's board accepted a formal 350 pence-a-share offer valuing the company at 1.2 bln stg from a private equity consortium comprising Montagu and Global Infrastructure Partners, by General Electric. | ![]() damanko
