They'd be mental to fundraise at present. Unlikely imo although we now never know with JD.

Wouldn't want to be in this overnight - danger of a placing at much lower price (7p? 8p?) RNS @ 7 a.m.

Understandable.
I think everybody sees the same.
A speculative stock.
Again it depends on your particular circumstances, perception of risk and tolerance
going forward.
I am merely pointing out that I do at times get a great enthusiasm for a share, which is not in anyway trying to 'ramp'.
People must be realistic and take the rough with the smooth or not invest.
We are all different.
I am not a big player. I just enjoy unearthing little opportunities,
Some work out some don't.

Please DYOR!

Hi hazl,

I appreciate what they're doing is incredibly difficult, carving out a new ad category.

I respect that.

But I think there is a lack of transparency here which I can't understand.

At the time of H1 results, instead of JD saying "we're very very comfortable with the FY target" and "we'll see who's right at year end" and all the other bits, why not say;

"look, we have a chance of making that target IF certain deals get signed, uptake is at the high end of expectations etc but in 2019 we're focusing on putting the building blocks in place and realistically looking at 2020 before meaningful revenues start arriving".

Would the share price have tanked? I don't think so, because many would have invested with a longer term view.

As it is, if JD tells me the sky's blue, right now I'm thinking it might be red.

Stoaty,

I'm not happy in that sense, obviously, but I'm looking at the bigger picture and the spike today could be temporary. I'm happy to have de-risked until I see something more concrete.

Thanks GN.

Don't get me wrong I'm only human too and this has been an unpleasant roller coaster. Important to dissociate the share price from the business in times like these. Fundamentals will always win and whilst financials have been non-existent (requiring huge leaps of faith and Logs arguments have merit in this respect), operational fundamentals have been snowballing in a very visible and positive way.

Now then let's bring more rationality into the equation...

£10m spend across 2m players in Football Manager? That's £5 ad spend per customer. Does that feel right? or could we be entering stage two of yesterday's RNS?

Also don't ever be scared of a placing - swapping 'over-priced' paper (according to de-rampers) for real cash to secure a financial future is a good choice when your prospects are hot and future returns are likely. I hope we can manage without a placing but don't let it obscure your decisions - Bobman has been through plenty with BIDS and he's done alright.

Before anybody says or thinks anything.
I am not saying this share is safe or that it's going to be a rip-roaring success.
We do not, nor cannot, know what the future will hold.
These companies are speculative which makes them both dangerous and exciting at the same time.
People should not put more into any share than they can afford to lose.
I thought that napoleon write a very sensible post just now, can't remember what it said exactly but take care in these difficult markets.

Chessmaster, there is absolutely no way that you are happy having sold yesterday, when you could have sold today for at least 50% more. Makes no sense.
The rest is completely your own decision!

CHESSMASTER these people are just trying to make a success of their firm in a very new market from the bottom up.

Whoever points the finger at aim ought to look at the big firms once in a while!

I sold half yesterday, at a hefty loss, despite previously saying I would hold.

I'm happy to have done so as well, as I would say I'm half as confident in the business as I was previously. Objectively speaking, my main gripes are:

1) Terrible communication

2) I feel, intentionally misleading investors. I can't understand why they have issued the last 2 RNS's as they have. Deliberate manipulation or lack of professionalism.

3) Can't trust JD any more.

4) The RNS today is superficially great, but missing meaningful detail (why is the agency not named, what does up to £10m mean)

5) I feel a placing is inevitable

I need numbers for my confidence to be restored. The sum total of the last two RNS's is;

Nothing significant for 2019

Up to £10m for 2020.

I can't buy into that, too vague.

Good luck all who are still balls deep, I really hope it's all positive from now on.

Voice of reason moneygen.

I was trying to say yesterday amongst all the noise and my limited access that contracts were delayed as written in the RNS....so I agree the info was there. Likewise your and others research shows how revenue might work. Bids will be getting a good proportion of that 10m whatever the exact percentage and the news is also clear that there are multiple agreements in the pipeline. If we are getting circa 2m from today's news then I expect there are two or three more almost over the line or that were expected by Christmas. Not beyond the realms of possibility that there may be more news to come yet.
