It was valued at £1M pre-IPO so a £300k return is pretty damn good considering the progress they've not made. JD was in the right place at the right time.

The model is used time and time again on AIM. Early stage "investors" get in pre-IPO at buttons. Often £10K can secure them 10-30% of the shares. They then often take a second stage round higher to add credibility say at a £200K market cap then do a float and raise on AIM. Using the proceeds they can promote the stock using channels like VOX and others and get people very exciting which can lead to valuations of close to £100m.

If early stage investors sell even 10% of their holding they book massive gains.

Companies like VRS are the same. The CEO holds a very substantial position which he paid almost nothing for. Lenigas is the mater of this sort of thing.

BTW I have no problem with genuine entrepreneurs making money out of floating their companies. I do have a problem when they cash out before they've even shown their business model works as is the case with BIDS and VRS.

Glad I got out some time ago. The lack of revenue was a decider. Looking at my portfolio the best performers are decent FTSE 350 companies. Stocks like BIDS can multibag at the start but generally fall back over time. The lesson is to get out while in profit. Hard to do when reading bbs full of aficionados. Also do take notice when people like log and superg weigh in. They often have a valid case

Justine Waite has a history of pumping and dumping, look at ars, avo and many others. I believe he is sincerely excited by the stocks at first but newbies should be very careful. Newbies should not look at the kind of companies he looks at and should go for companies with revenue and profit. Many newbies have lost 50% on this stock meaning it has to go up 100% just to break even. A big ask

Can I kindly remind you ‘told you so’ commenters that people can and do commit suicide in such circumstances.

Tone it down please - we can take one look at our portfolios and recognise that mistakes have been made.

You were all correct, move on.

I am out bar a token amount, taken a big loss. Sickened at the downright lies really. Hope to make money back elsewhere. Good luck to you all. Maybe come back next year for another go. I'm a total cynic now and will just be trading from now on.
PS I won't be checking those ads on twitch anymore!

I have to agree that the RNS itself is a source of concern.

I didn't sense any confidence or conviction in it. No substance, just very flaky and non-descript.

That for me is another red flag.

I'd be more forgiving if we got the non-existent 2019 revenue news with something more bullish and encouraging for 2020, but it's all a bit... meh.

Well once again the market has got it right. Only one major problem IMHO that is JD who is DISHONEST to say the least. The company I am sure (because of the TITANS that are involved) has a bright future but now has to prove itself. Lots of forced selling today but insiders buying.A £20m odd cap is not too high for a company with the tech in this industry IMHO. Now a longer term investment. Where are you aiden…..!!!!

I panicked a little this morning after the RNS and sold a third of my holding, whilst a little gutted after seeing the bounce, and on reflection I am confident given time this will come back and fulfill my expectations. However no more money here for me. GLA

Think it was a case of putting all eggs in one basket for JD. He was perhaps confident of landing one of these high revenue deals which he has previously alluded to (via Dentsu perhaps) however it hasn't come to fruition. Perhaps Dentsu were not ready to commit yet, perhaps they wanted the technology to mature a little more. Nobody knows.

JD must provide a further update.
