An idea? Does this idea have anything to back it up, besides your general long term experience in this very aspect of broker based electronic trading? Never heard so much nonsense. There is no large seller at this quiet time, volume is light, just the patient waiting on the next move up, and the short attention spanners contemplating missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime, get in quick.

I was thinking looking at the chart there is a chance we could drop back towards 28 for a short while.

Hi angel

In my limited experience it’s normal trading, we have sellers and buyers, some big, some small. It’s mainly a retail stock so it’s to be expected. Some of those larger trades could simply be someone who got in early and decided to derisk because of wider macro events, nothing unusual in this market.

As for RSP and wide spread that’s simply, imo, because the MM’s are inviting large orders either way, as they have been for many months. The actual RSP varies on quantity, buys and sells, dependant on what orders are on the books both sides.

Not questioning your experience, just saying it’s unlikely to be one large seller, specially not someone who can drive market price, likewise it’s unlikely to be one large buyer.

More likely it’s driven by a few margin traders, it’s a highly liquid stock on an uptrend, it’s going to attract attention from all sides of the spectrum, until news its likely to remain in this pattern imo.

I have an idea there has been an ongoing seller. They will likely be back tomorrow....

What makes you think one seller sold 400k? Isn't it more likely there were a number of small buyers and sellers as normal? Esp on such a slow day. Unless you know something different?

Money,
I am an investor in Bids, and i have been for a good while.
I have worked in and around the City for decades and primarily on the broker side of things.
I have been lucky enough to work in and around trading desks for maybe 30 years, especially around electronic trading.
I know most if not all of the brokers and market makers well which helps when watching the prints go through.
Hope that clarifies.

Good find!

Was thinking that likes of Microsoft, who own the franchise Forza, could monetise it further by getting advertising from likes of Ford during their racing events. It would make sense to have Ford advertising banners during their events.

It actually makes the product more versatile, likes of Ford aren’t going to be happy long term promoting other products with their hard earned cash, by using bids software it is not only creating revenues but also ensuring the longevity of the franchise for large esports players such as Ford. Other manufacturers can use same game with their own banners such as Mercedes etc.

When you look at it from a business prospective the proposition really does make sense for all concerned.

Interesting, don’t see why not Saints. It looks brilliant in the racing games. And Ford are getting serious with ESports - check this job post out...

Good find moneygenxyz.

Had an evening looking at various twitter posts, apologies if already discussed, bit of wild speculation before the naysayers jump on this post, however thought it worth looking at.

Our CMO has strong links with Microsoft as we know, he’s also been associated with the latest launch of fords esport team, so I looked at the game they intend competing on, Forza Motorsport, which includes a couple of other associated games, Forza Street and Forza Horizon. Summary from wiki below on number of users.

“As of February 2010, the Forza games have sold over 10 million copies[32] since the release of Forza Motorsport in May 2005. As of December 2016, the series has made over $1 billion USD at retail,[11][33] making Forza one of the highest grossing video game franchises. Over 14 million unique players were registered in the Forza community on Xbox One and Windows 10 by December 2016.”

If we look at our CMO twitter feed there’s perhaps a few clues?

As I said speculation, if comes to fruition would be a huge win for bids, game is being updated frequently so they could easily update the existing advertising trackside banners to incorporate bids software.

Are you a trader or a LTH angel? out of interest. I feel this knowledge would make a good trader but can't help but wonder if you are invested in the BIDS story too?

Interesting day of trading
- big seller with a limit order - I think selling at 31.5p or higher - sold around 400k and change
- Decent sized buyer of up to 250k at what seems to be just over 32p

Net selling today and hence a small fall in price.

Overall, it bodes well - the selling will run out at some stage if good news continues to come out.

Not a game bibdaddy as each trade has a buyer and a seller....

The reports are deemed buy or sell by the retail brokers as follows:-
- bid and offer at the time of
- execution price
- derives buy or sell....

Example:-
- Bids closed on SEAQ at 31 - 32 - what you see at tonight's close
- On the RSP they closed 31 - 31.48 which is what you can actually trade at...

As the bid and offer are both on the sell side of 31 - 32 all executions would be deemed a sell at this time, so if you bought at 31.48p it would automatically show as a sell.

Nothing to do with the market makers, actually due to poor technology in place.
