I imagine this development was done alongside a particular game like rocket league which has billboards around the outside like fm.

There's tons of billboards and virtual advertising in places like Mega Mall and Tilted Towers (as well as a whole host of other smaller locations) within the fortnite map. I'd imagine it's quite easy for BIDS to initiate some proper advertising within that space, rather than the Fortnite specific stuff that's there now. There's also the various decals for the vehicles and skins as you say. Just tons of potential for BIDS to really go to town with the likes of Fortnite, without affecting the gamers experience in any way. More importantly, however, are the millions of fans who religiously watch streams of their favourite players - providing a huge opportunity for advertising. Some of the top gamers are clocking up 10's of millions of views within 24 hours of uploading.

I've mentioned before that we can also consider advertising in a far more subtle way with this type of plugin, branding and the subtlety demanded by a media savy generation will be important. The plugin 'will' allow for top gamers to be sponsored by companies given the targeting potential of the software means that a gamer could be sponsored by Adidas or Jaguar and everytime/wherever they play those names will be on their stuff and on all the clips of their gameplay..

So less generic ads across games and more specific brand association. IF athletes and clubs are paid millions to wear/use particular products then the same is going to happen in gaming...

Bidstack is there to provide the solution.

I think the gamer could/should be rewarded for wearing programmatic ad skins (similar to aidenabettin's idea but doesn't have to be crypto).

Imagine if you are all cammo'ed up and a Nicky Minaj (Yes FM has had these) ad flashed up on your coat whilst hiding in the bushes :P

The obvious opportunity here are the 'skins' on fortnite players.

Watched by potentially millions of people at a time as the gamers stream their sessions live on twitch or mixer (as per the recent story where 'Ninja' moved from twitch to mixer).



Those skins could now be developed as programmable advertising spaces. The value for advertisers in being directly associated and promoted by this new breed of e-sports star could be immense.

Roley, note that the RNS states that this works with currently live as well as soon to be launched games. This will only be a small update to start advertising. If they've not already programmed thus in in preparation.

I started counting them one by one, gave up when I dropped the table in excel and realized that my rows went all the way down to 700.... that's a rather large back catalog of games.

Admittedly not all relevant but you get the idea.
