Have you seen the situation in ALY?
Piece in the S T reminded me of Bidstack.
Might not be exactly the same but had a ring about it.

'Wells Fargo, which has drafted in restructuring experts from Deloitte,is understood to be tightly controlling LA's ability to draw in the cash, leaving the chain with little choice but to turn to it's shareholders.'

If bigger entities control the action then it can mean that a business can be picked up for a song.

Speculation only.

Lauders - "I personally believe a big proportion of last week's bounce was due to the Andrew House news."

I disagree. I think the jump was due to a technical correction between institutions shorting as a result of placing stock and those closing shorts when the supply is momentarily cut off.

Global Nomad,

Some interesting thoughts, and refreshingly almost balanced, except for this bit "This has the effect of hardening the position of the opposite positive view" where you demonise the bears, which is such a shame because I agreed with virtually all the rest of your post.

The thinking that the bears are the bad guys and the bulls the good guys is so last year. Read some of the posts from the bulls, made this morning, for example...

ALL threads here are, in effect, two echo chambers, but the new bulls only thread is a single echo chamber, where negatives won't be allowed, and I personally see that as far more risky then the discussion here. I cannot recall any bulls only thread where the stock has done well.

Everyone here is an adult (in theory at least, LOL!) so are capable of making up their own minds after reading posts by both bulls and bears alike, and that's what a discussion board should be, IMHO.

GN - Agreed on this part for everyone, but a MUST for new as well as existing holders: hope you read across various sources to get a balanced view and question your own belief in both the pro and con points of view.

I personally believe a big proportion of last week's bounce was due to the Andrew House news. It would be good to receive some other news this week to continue the momentum. Not sure what it will be but but a week is being rather too optimistic I am sure. Was listening to a mining company CEO speaking about his company and the messages he received daily about permit issuing matters and it struck a cord with BIDS and news and reminded me about patience. Now that JD hasn't committed to any specific dates I feel much happier. Hope he has learnt from his December "guidance".

The two most overrated and rubbish terms you will read on a BB are 'balanced view' and 'constructive debate'. Only charlatans hell bent on ramping worthless stock revert to these terms. On the AIM there is no in between you will either gain lots of money or you will lose all your money. Your discussion has to be in one camp or the other not both.

In the case of Bidstack I am in the latter.

I am continuing to look at both boards and post here occasionally.

There are clearly very good reasons to consider the environment here very toxic, having started out very supportive it has become confrontational and nasty. It is clear that there are posters whose only agenda is to disrupt and cause confusion rather than measured debate. This has the effect of hardening the position of the opposite positive view rather than opening up objective discussion. It is a reflection of the society and context we now live in and it is unhelpful when truth and facts are ignored in the pursuit of an agenda.

The new site is in its infancy and is a sensible way to avoid some of the risks present here. I hope it will develop into a place for positive debate about the pros and cons of investing in Bidstack, without becoming an echo chamber (this one has become two overlapping echo chambers).

If you are invested in Bidstack then I hope all comes good at whatever level -size and price - you hold.

If you are considering investing then I hope you read across various sources to get a balanced view and question your own belief in both the pro and con points of view.

I am looking forward to next week and those to follow with a slightly cautious enthusiasm and the expectation that my investment will recover and be proven to be a good decision.

best wishes
GN
