19/6/2015 12:29 | I'm simply not understanding why - when Shell has bid 1,300p or thereabouts for BG and the directors of BG are in favour of accepting, why the share price is languishing at much less, particularly when BG is a BUY (IMO) in its own right. Is it simply because this takeover might take some time to come to fruition and the low share price is a reflection of that delay? Or is there some other influence of which I am not aware. 15/4/2015 13:22 | shahi1 The reason Tullow is up, is offer speculation. But your right i thought it would be trading over £12 at the mo. | withoutt
15/4/2015 13:06 | Agreed. I am surprised that the price is not well above £12 by now seeing how the other oil stocks are performing esp Tullow. | shahi1
15/4/2015 10:56 | Spoke to an analyst yesterday if this was a goer it should be sitting at around £12.30-£ | 84stewart
15/4/2015 10:52 | it is looking a bit of a disaster i.e.: no counterbid ,too much hurdles to overcome investment COs are using this to take short positions stopping a real rise in the price don't know if bid will go thru +oil price rising but BG. is going up and down like a yoyo | 84stewart
15/4/2015 10:07 | Are there no BG. holders here? What are the views on the looming takeover by Shell? | shahi1

09/4/2015 13:39 | Shell cannot compete with XOM, if they do the Shell bid is dead in the water, XOM bidding is a very outside prospect imo, never say never. | essentialinvestor
09/4/2015 13:31 | Problem if XOM bid iwould think it would have to an all cash offer in the region of £49.5-£5 | 84stewart
09/4/2015 12:55 | strange that these are 200p below the offer price Lots of legal and political loopholes to jump through presumably. | nigelpm
09/4/2015 12:46 | strange that these are 200p below the offer price (although, of course, depends somewhat on Shell's share price). But still they should be higher. Always a chance of a better offer from XOM. | dealy
09/4/2015 12:05 | Shell saw their opportunity and pounced, XOM could still take this but unlikely imv, always thought it would be XOM rather than Shell. | essentialinvestor |
