11/4/2019 09:53 | Posted on lse thanks to jextie: hxxps://www.mining-j 'The pair are leading a revival of the Mankayan project, which is one of the world's best undeveloped porphyry copper-gold deposits. A new economic study by Mining Plus has given a significant boost to the project and is adding to momentum following a turnaround in sentiment towards mining in the Philippines.' | fireplace22
11/4/2019 09:43 | BZT is just too small now; a shell. | russman
11/4/2019 07:13 | The proposal from the BAG to have one of their members seconded to the board has been rejected by the management. BAG are now requesting the company to call an EGM and set a motion to elect a BAG member to the board. | fireplace22
10/4/2019 11:52 | The management at bzt is absolutely terrible i hope this company gets delisted idc if im still holding rn | akmal101
04/4/2019 17:25 | These company bosses often seem to forget the fact that they're running public companies owned by shareholders! Stiff opposition when all we're trying to do is look after our own investments and make sure what happened at EUZ doesn't happen here! | the manini
04/4/2019 17:11 | KS, I think the aim of the discussions is to achieve an share price rerate prior to a cash raise but the BAG also want to ensure any placing is available to all shareholders. To this end they are attempting to get a representative on the board but are meeting stiff opposition, if that continues they will call an egm, they currently speak for 18% of the shares. | fireplace22
04/4/2019 16:46 | Let's hope discussions come to something before we are all diluted to oblivion.... | king suarez
04/4/2019 13:21 | Laurence Read in the Philippines last weekend to discuss the possibility of a JV or outright sale of the Mankayan asset. Talks were to be of an exploratory nature only. One of the parties was a counter cyclical mining company who would take on a JV at reduced price reflecting that there may be problems (wrt to Thailand)in its development. Exploratory discussions also underway on the Eureka asset with interested parties on the TSX and in Argentina. | fireplace22
02/4/2019 16:38 | This (below) was posted on lse, you may get a gist of what the BAG is trying to achieve - possibly put in place a method whereby all s'holders can participate in any fundraising to avoid massive dilution of our holdings and to nominate a board member to give holders a voice. Charles your point is sound- of coursed any company regardless of potential has to have the funds to carry the project to conclusion, however there are 80 PIs who, if the details were made plain and genuine reasons given as to the use to which placing proceeds were earmarked and if included in the offer, would not only support but even take up a lot of the placing if given the opportunity- a bid for the whole caboodle has been mooted at these prices. I doubt they would support the placing if they suspected that it would be taken up by CB or one of his many associated companies.Hemo on the Board exploring these possibilities for all shareholders not just the 18% controlled by BAG members nor the Directors/associated companies would go a long way to addressing investor concerns and make any placing more likely to succeed. I find it staggering that the Board of Bezant wish to delay this happening( it breeds suspicion as to what the 3 months are to be used for) and would urge them to bow to the inevitable and co opt Hemo immediately with it to be confirmed at the AGM. | fireplace22

31/3/2019 20:44 | The last option they were looking at cost considerably less than $900 m | the manini
31/3/2019 18:29 | No-one. It will either be a JV or outright sale, obviously. This is an explorer, not a development company. | king suarez
31/3/2019 18:27 | Who on Earth is going to lend $900m to a company valued at less than £1m? Especially when the project NPV is not much more than the loan? | sleveen
