Hi outsizeclothes, I'm not in Beximco ATM, but did well with their divis a few years ago.
Do you know when I'd need to have a holding on order to be eligible for the next divi?
Or am I already too late now?
TiA,
John

3.5 Taka should mean a gross divvy of 2.5p.
Hopefully they have the dollar reserves this coming year by 25th Jan. to allow it be paid on time.

The calc of impact is above my pay grade - but it all helps.

My thoughts are international sales suffered due to coronavirus and the ability of salespeople to sell stuff face to face, that should start to make progress again plus they have an ever increasing number of drugs - that on top of pressure of health services to cut costs should see new international business coming to BXP.

Taka seems to be stabilising, and weak which should help international sales.

I think domestically, BXP will continue to edge out medicines that are made by foreign companies, which will help the foreign currency issues.

Sittin and waiting.

What do you think the impact for BXP is gtg?

Tylenol, an acetaminophen is suggested as a treatment for symptoms.

I can't help but think that even if they can't manage to translate Taka weakness into greatly increased foreign sales, that with Covid still hanging around, domestic sales should be ticking along very nicely.

Hmm... with Taka weakness I do wonder if a fat bid comes in at above the Dhaka price, which is a big fat quick win.

...I guess we are drifting higher to a more reasonable share price

Taka weakness, although an initial headwind from a buying basic ingredients point of view, will turn to a tailwind in selling export products

SP Angel research-

Although Beximco Pharma is a mature company, we believe the best method for valuing the Company is through discounting cash flows (DCFs) as near-term earnings forecasts do not capture the Group’s full growth potential (for example, the Company’s export strategy and entry into biosimilars). We used a discount rate of 12% and long-term free cash flow growth rate of 2%. Our valuation indicates a 148p target price.

Let's hope so. The Daka was on a steady rise from July before falling back recently. Hopefully it can regain the trend

Eps for q1 around 2.6p. Annualised pe of about 4, if I read it correctly. Top line continues to grow well

Prelims are out:

FY EPS of 10.28 (2022 was 11.57). A fall of 11% but that seems already to be priced in. Stock is down 38% over the year.

Cash flow per share is up 15% and divinis the same at 3.5. Still looking at a converted p/e of around 5 and 7% divi. Yet again, pretty decent numbers and discount, especially given the headwinds as reported earlier. Very happy to hold, especially with the increased cashflow for future divi increases or to pay down debts.

It only affects less than 1% of products, - if at all.
They only commented because the Press did.

Today's "end of week" 40p+ close also breaks the sharp shareprice down channel.

Nice to see a "spring to life" on these, - for a change to the drip, drip, drip down.
The divvy yield alone should support 50p+ ( if the Govt. mandated 30% of profit payout is maintained )
The one thing I'd like to hear from the Company is whether, or not, the well publicised global basic medical ingredients shortages / supply chain difficulties have impacted our production in any meaningful way.
A good trading update along with the next quarterly would be very welcome.
