24/10/2007 23:03 | BET4ME has been spamming the boards - reckons that this is the next hot stock. Well, maybe it will be, but I'm wagering that FMJ doubles before BET does.... A quarter of the market cap of BET & I reckon they'll be profitable in 2008..... Sold low and now significantly undervalued, IMO. DYOR!!! G. | garth | |
24/10/2007 18:11 | So if you look at the latest results operating profits are just fractionly ahead of adminstration costs, given the nature of the turnover growth and reduced admin costs this shows that the business does not seem to incur increased costs to occur with increased turnover like a lot of business's do but then it is internet gambling so this is to be expected. If those margins are maintained it works out at approx 3% profit margin so naturally the key is high turnover growth, turnover grew 30% last time around, can they do it again, well the pari-mutuel turnover is off the scale at 148% growth last time so no reason to think it wont jump again, assuming a similar rise in turnover and similar margins this could result in operating profits of 4 million with adminstration costs of less than 3 million resulting in 1 million pre-tax profits. However this is purely based on overall margins of 3%, management clearly state that pari-mutuel have the higest margins, you can see it has the highest growth too so any conservative estimates could easily be smashed if everything falls into place. There's a lot of positive feedback in the final results, lots of new ventures in the pipeline, they can now advertise for new business. Is there something i'm missing here because why is Bet so quiet, no trades at all today, i've looked at Lng, they are valued close to the same as Bet, i've looked at their results and believe me Bet looks the better play yet Lng has a private stakebuilder and plenty of trading every day, have a look for yourself, they made a operating loss last time but to be fair they do take chances when you are a big layer of football matches. Back to Bet, i think it's a strong buy, i cant understand the lack of interest, a stock called IBB caught my eye the other day as it rose from 5p to 14p in little over a week ! It's valued at 31 million , it loses so much money, operating loss of 4 million in last interims, it will need to raise more money, it's turnover growth is pitiful and so what happens, it rises 180% max in 2 weeks ! Typical. ps...The mm's are willing to pay 4.26p for stock on a 4-4.5p spread, what does that tell you ? | love it |
