13/10/2021 09:40 | Why don’t they do another midweek draw? Because they confuse the customer then. They trade on the simplicity of their offering. Would a new competition attract new customers or more spend from existing customers? Or would it just eat into existing revenues and confuse the customer? Any new competition needs to offer something “new”. Midweek made sense as it was dream car but a bit cheaper, but how do you differentiate now? Ultra cheap? I’m not sure…as that’s not really in line with the “win your dream car” brand if the prizes are £10-20k cars. They do lifestyle competition but that’s winning a Rolex or dream holiday - so slightly different. Who did they buy from? No idea…I won’t profess to understand the intricacies. Is this someone moping up all the recent sells? | feverfan
13/10/2021 08:54 | Feverfan ... if this is a 'buy', then who did they buy them from? A seller? | stepone68

07/10/2021 19:28 | Has anyone seen the September similar web stats? I was hoping for a turnaround. Not to be… visits down 10.74% in September. This can’t be good combined with massively increased marketing costs since last year? Last trading update was 13 August and covered period up to 8 August. August was a slight improvement on July, but September now a drop on July and August. I have no idea whether they have kitchen sinked it with the last revised guidance - if so this could look good value. Problem is how geared the business is and sensitive to revenue fluctuations- 10% either way can be 50% on the profit. I was tempted to dip my toe back in if the September figures suggested a positive engagement result but on the basis that it’s almost an 11% MoM drop off….I’m watching from the sidelines. Caveat - Maybe this data is completely useless now as it doesn’t include App engagement - anyone got any analytics on the App - downloads or the likes? They’ve been pushing the app so perhaps users are moving from web to app and all is well but impossible to tell until the next update. Disclosure: I’m all sold up as a result. | feverfan
