I just don't understand why they Spanish government would want to put a stop on this mine. They need the employment and the tax income, and it also seems that the locals are in favour of it because of the jobs that many of them would get.

I’m keeping an eye. The relatively large cash position makes it attractive shell. Needs some real panic sales!

Absolutely agree. Still huge downside risk here.

I don’t touch it. I like risk, but this could easily drop to 5p imo if it’s clear there’ll be no permit.

Deacon- I agree it should not be possible to have a trading halt on one exchange but not on an another exchange. Twilight zone.

The cash is of little importance if no permit.
There is a debt of A$ 70 million to the Omani’s.
There is a A$ 120 million Omani financing in place.
However A$ 55 of that was optionable. Omani’s could inject equity at an average strike price of 85p.
They are not going to that.
Leaves the A$ 65 million that they provided by a convertible loan.
That one was convertible @50p, or if BKY issued new equity (BKY already made clear they’ll have to), conversion price will be at least 27p.
Omani’s are not going to do that if no permit.
Whatever happens if Omanis are still interested they’re going to renegotiate terms.
No matter what, it’s all bad news for current holders.
BOL holders.

Without the Omani funds they've got around $10m Aussie

Just checked. They have A$100m in cash as of 2 weeks ago. So around 22p of cash by my calculations.

Will be interesting to see how the Omani's respond. Pulling the plug on funding?

Talk about a false market!

Must be trading below cash by now anyway.

True. I just find it absurd how one can be suspended but not the other. Not just BKY, but many instances of this across the AIM market. Anyhow, BKY need to give some answers, and quickly.

At least LSE investors have got a choice. They could do nothing as if there’s a trading halt or sell and get some of their investment back. ASX investors could be surprised by a sudden 80% crash.
No permit, no value. Nada.

"we're going to allow trading to continue so as holders in London can lose lots of cash without any answers." Insane why this is allowed to continue trade whilst halted in Australia, whilst continuing to offer no explanation..

The only verifiable truth in the whole article ...

... "la autorización para construir la mina solo es posible cuando el Consejo de Seguridad Nuclear (CSN) haya finalizado su informe ...

... the rest is suppositions
... and scaremongering
... and why not a few more years

LOL

My post of 28 Sep ...

Friend who visits this region says no way the mine will be built as BKY envisage.
Also NAV of 22p not v encouraging, even though a lot of the resource is not allowed for.
Jumped ship I'm afraid. Best of luck to those still holding.

Same guy now thinks there could be some kind of compromise - i.e. Madrid will impose much stricter conditions. Fraid it doesn't tempt me to go back in.
