Uranium spot price now up 20% this month and ETFs continuing to rally strongly. This should be reflected in company's stock price but yet to reflect the rise. Will do.

Good old uranium rally for next few weeks, I expect some ebbs and flows but hopefully BKY can get up to 60p

Good to see this respond somewhat. Still lagging last nights ASX close and U peers based on last rally.

I can't understand how there can be such a discrepancy between the ASX and AIM share price.

On the ASX , BKY closed at AUD 0.945, equivalent to 54 p and here we languish at under 50p.

BKY has very low liquidity on AIM despite Paul Atherley's tireless efforts at bringing the stock to the attention of UK institutions and private investors.

I take this to mean that current holders are fully loaded ( although I did add a few more yesterday ).

However in such situations, when there is favourable news the shortage of loosely held stock often leads to massive surges in the share price .

The AGM is less than a week away when shareholders should approve the Oman financing deal. I hope that this will enable the company to sign up the engioneering/construction contractor and also award the mining contract.

Yes, ASX chart looks juicy on high volume, ripe for a breakout? The LSE chart needs to add a few p to catch-up let, alone keep up.

BKY yet to mount a response. NXE, FCU, DML, UEC and many others posting share prices 20/30% higher since Cameco and Honeywell news.

Apart from blip up to 50p on news of the Cameco shutdown share price is not reflecting surge in the Uranium Price. See the performance of Global X ETF which holds 4.82% of Berkeley. Ongoing buyer I suggest.

GoodGrief;
Aaaargh. Sorry, I'm wrong. As you say I confused the ETF.

Hangs head in shame.

Historically the recovery in uranium stocks is usually fast and furious.

Here's the legendary Rick Rule last month on uranium:

From 13:11...

"And if my memory serves me well, of the 5 uranium juniors that I owned at the bottom of the last cycle, the worst performer, the worst, gained 22 to 1".

From 16:39...

"What was interesting was that when you shut down production....in fact the price spiked from 8 dollars to 130 dollars a pound."

The uranium sector is certainly on fire today.

The GCL Investment Trust in the UK up 10.6%.

The URA ETF in the US currently up 9.3%.

A strong backdrop for BKY.

Its a bit of a double edged sword isn't it? In the bigger picture it would be more positive if everyone was increasing production........

I can't quite agree with this morning's 10% share price rise - I don't really think the news that Cameco is shutting down a huge amount of production is all THAT good for BKY. Rather, it indicates just how much yellowcake is still piled up above ground, waiting to be sold off, and that the era of low U3O8 prices will continue for a while yet. Anyway, I sold my shares and took the profit, and will be looking to buy back when the price has dropped back into the 40s.

Cameco shutting 14 million lbs of production should be helpful for the U price!
