04/8/2013 11:52 | Guess it depends on the length of your time horizon. Looking forward to the first 59p divi in Sep 13. The fact that so much money is being returned to investors makes this a very safe hold in my book - so yield will also be supported by a firm share price. | ![]() melody9999

23/7/2013 10:38 | Topps Tiles (LON:TPT) is another way of reaping the rewards of a housing market revival. That's according to Goldman Sachs, which sees a potential return of 60% from investing in the tile and flooring specialist. It added the company to its 'conviction buy' list on the grounds that demand for flooring will spread as more homes are built and more people buy properties. George Osborne's Help to Buy mortgage lending scheme has given housebuilders, DIY retailers and other housing-related companies a boost in 2013. "Topps Tiles has strengthened its market position in its floor covering niche and we believe the risk from online disruption remains relatively low," said analyst Mayan Uthayakumar. | ![]() leebong
21/7/2013 14:05 | Topps Tiles, TPT, have been upgraded by Goldmansacks to a Strong Buy rating. Resistance levels as follows: 76.25, 81.5, 87.00, 105.00, 126.5, 143.00, 162.00, 231.00...then its all clear to three pounds. The company is expanding its number of DIY stores from 301 to 351 this year, 15% increase of market share. It would make a good take-over target for TPK at a current price of 88p a share to increase market share. | ![]() leebong

20/6/2013 18:05 | Some broker recs from today (from brokerforecasts.com) Property developer Berkeley Group Holdings [LON:BKG] published an upbeat set of preliminary results yesterday, prompting a number of analysts to issue notes to investors today. JP Morgan Cazenove found the results to be comfortably ahead of its "top of the range" estimates and reaffirmed its 'overweight' rating, while Beaufort Securities maintained its 'buy' recommendation. Citigroup hailed the results as impressive and believes the group "is reaping the rewards of having bought a significant amount of land at the right time in the cycle." However, the broker retained its (not so bullish) 'neutral' rating and increased its target price to 2,215 pence per share from 2,125 pence. With the results coming in a little weaker than its estimates, Deutsche Bank reaffirmed its 'hold' call, claiming that "the stock may lack near term momentum" and upped its target price to 2,252 pence a share (previously 2,211 pence). Broker Forecasts consensus data shows that 46 per cent of brokers rate the shares as a 'buy', a further 46 per cent as a 'hold' and 8 per cent as a 'sell'. At 3:37pm: Berkeley Group Holdings share price was down 80.5 pence at 2,112.5 pence. | ![]() major clanger
