Interesting. Some of the contracted sales could be to local housing associations too.
Yes can anyone else answer these questions?

I've emailed Redrow investor relations. I'll let you know if I get an answer.
But still be grateful for any help on here.

Cheers

I would imagine contracted buyers - that is how the new build market works. You visit the Show Home then sign up for a plot with a f/c completion date. Whether buyers can back out due to unforeseen late completion I don't know; but very much doubt it.

Can someone else answer that perhaps?

I'm also trying to figure out the house builders.

This is from the Redrow Covid RNS dated march 27th

'When there is a return to normality in the supply chain, and we are satisfied it is safe for our workforce to return to work, we will reopen sites and recommence production with an initial focus on fulfilling our substantial order book that stands at GBP1.4bn of which GBP0.9bn is contracted.'

What do you think it means by contracted. Is that guaranteed sales would you think? Or could it be Redrow are themselves contracted to build that value IE they are contracted to build and provide work for their sub contractors. Hope that makes sense.

Grateful of any help.
Cheers

I've looked at them all, trying to make sense of the land bank and net cash position.

Finally decided to buy a few BKG; but IMO Best Buy looks to be the newly reformatted and appallingly named Vistry (VTY)...

heialeaxi - the hit is yesterday's news, all the housebuilders have closed and their shares down 50%. You now need to do what the stock-market does - look forward 6months.

Interesting piece in The Telegraph. Talk of a strong recovery for housebuilders. BEST BUY stated as Berkeley Group (BKG)

Agree with that... this is only back to 2017 and 2019 levels. It's fallen a lot, but it was at such a high level it can be deceptive. The housing market is closed for several months so surely house builders are going to take a significant hit...
