Given the news today I'm rather surprised that it hasn't had a bigger impact on the share price

BCE's and UJO's market caps are quite similar as both are in the low £20 millions. Might there be scope for something more on the corporate front here? UJO has ca. 300 bopd net from Wressle and BCE's cash flow will remain quite low until Schwarz-2 has - I hope - successfully cleaned up and has been seen to flow at a decent rate. 250 bopd net to BCE would be pretty good, maybe even better all being well, and would be on the same scale as UJO's.

Additionally GP2 as I questioned in an earlier post - is todays news a precursor to corporate activity in the form of a merger or a take over?

Excellent point GP2 reference...."I'm also wondering if, as well as holding a small BCE stake, they might be interested in farming in to one of our German licences. They seem to be stymied by the UK planning system, which isn't the case in Germany."

UJO squad checking in.......

I'm happy with this morning's news too. I'll probably start getting a few BCE shares tucked away too.

Germany has shot itself in the foot shutting its world leading fleet of nuceal reactors early, and is having to expand opencast coal mining as a result of finding out the wind doesn't always blow and Baltic region isn't a Solar energy eldorado. A few small oil wells is an ecological blessing by comparison.

I've a reasonable holding in BCE which is showing a small (20% or so) profit and a slightly larger holding in UJO which isn't (yet) profitable. So, from a personal POV I was pleased to see UJO's 3.22% shareholding announcement this morning. I'm also wondering if, as well as holding a small BCE stake, they might be interested in farming in to one of our German licences. They seem to be stymied by the UK planning system, which isn't the case in Germany.

Hey bmwman3 could I politely suggest that you refrain from posting on the UJO thread as they also have their fair share of TROLLs who I for one would prefer NOT to see over here!

Wonder if todays news will be a precursor to UOG not only upping their stake but taking matters even further?!?!?

Plus if I were a UJO shareholder I'd prob think to myself why stay invested in UJO when I too could buy BCE! If the co I'm invested in is buying then rather than own BCE through UJO I'll buy direct!

Additionally Karina as you asked the question earlier in POST 983 - according to the UOG thread they purchased their INITIAL stake in the very recent placement so acted as one of the cornerstone investors

Yes Karina as they have just spent a cool circa 2/3rds of a million pounds on their INITIAL stake!

Perhaps they will continue to BUY in the market?
