Like the country BATM needs a change of government. A new board will make a huge difference and it wont take long with the right team in place

Turning point? ..appears not we seem to be reverting to normal service rather quickly. Any news seems a liquidity event for sellers. Since over half the company is owned by Zvi and loam who to my knowledge haven't sold any for a long time the constant grind down is disappointing ..mostly because there are clearly no marginal buyers to absorb the stock. There are not many funds investing in small Co's as this gets smaller and probably even less that might invest in overseas companies ( esp Israel just now?) but they ( the company and broker) clearly cant find any buyers at any price even on what some are saying is again a major turning point. Until the fundamentals of earnings and growth better support the valuation rather than huff and puff and long term agreements offering little income ..it likely remains potentially cheap if they manage to execute on their stated strategy but still remains a complicated company with a poor short term record and very limited visibility to genuine growth in the new markets it keeps talking about.

Too right. A lot of shareholders worn down but perhaps this is the turning point

another nice close. the story behind this deal is just too promising for the share price to at least not regain the 22-25 range.

BATM communicated ages ago that they would sell the part of their cyber business that deals with the large Government contract. They cited that there were companies out there that this was better handled by. They did say that they would retain a commercial version of this platform.
Celare was probably worth in the $50M to $60M range "prior" to this announcement if it was sold.

Zvi has been completely sidelined. So that is a positive.

After a small uptick on the share price following the RNS the price is drifting back south.
BATM has been doing this for years - announce a partnership promising a bright future which never materialises. this is just another example. The company needs root and branch changes.

Yes Government approval would have taken time to secure, but also given BATM a halo of their solution being 'military grade' where approval was first required. The use of hardware keys is where the market is going for high grade encryption and it also allows BATM to retain control. As you say the partner will be in a friendly Far Eastern tech/defence/engineering group -- there are not many of them in that turnover bracket last year. Once these sort of partnerships are established it opens up so many more opportunities for BATM. Surely the same partner will be interested in edge computing as well?

I agree it looks Far Eastern from what appears a priority list ..but surely must be with a friendly domiciled country. There were few countries i thought that Israel would trust with defence related tech..hence why a commercial roll out i thought was so sensitive even on a sovereign basis. One must think China would be a no go.South Korea, Singapore and Japan might have companies with the credentials mentioned but with the global sensitivity around such technology at the moment one would think such a deal would need ( and likely must have) Government approval.

Digging into the deal a bit more. It says the partner extends to 100 countries. Then the RNS says the partner has exclusivity in some markets. Assuming this means BATM can also sell direct or partner elsewhere in certain markets. I think this is a huge positive as it can no doubt sell direct in Israel etc at greater margin where it is known. This flexibility must surely have been a hard negotiating point and is important. If commercial sales are strong the major partner may wish to buy out Celare (or BATM) to secure the non exclusive market business. Makes perfect sense.

I'm working with a young cyber expert, so Asia doesn't exist for him yet. His initial (bad) guess was BaE, but now wonders if it may be Thales or Leonardo as the RNS prose reads like its an engineering-tech firm. Shore cap analyst won't open up of course, but is convinced it will leak out 'eventually'.

>resistance ... yes much more likely. I was just looking for a possible Israeli tie up that we might have missed. There are a very large number of possibilities no doubt we will find out in due course.

Def not Elbit. Reasoning based on the 2023 sales level of $10bn+ and the label of the partner as technology, defence and engineering. More likely Asian as per my video point earlier.

This is potentially a very big deal. I wondered if it's Elbit, thats a guess OK. This is a revenue stream that they have wanted to tap for quite some time so its not as if they are going to have to re invent the wheel to get it in place.
They have a very real advantage and lead time here plus its going to encompass Edgility at some point ?
What I am encouraged by is that it's critical for them to recognize that they cant run their own show and they need to partner on a more intimate level. This is more of a chips in arrangement.
Hopefully more purposeful structured partnerships with actual goals.

Small comfort, but useful for the share price to close up again after spending much of the session lower, though volume is poor. I think management is likely doing some one-on-ones with some existing instos and hopefully, a couple new ones through the week. Indicates the company thinks this deal - and I am beginning to agree as well - is a bigger one than the headlines suggest, perhaps more for signalling their strategic direction than financially, but still a more exciting step for the Company than the early share price move would suggest. Watch for the share price to grind higher slowly but surely over the next couple weeks/months.

Shore leaves its forecasts unchanged, but this deal takes the company into a new market. Pre-tax profit is expected to improve from $1.5m to $2.8m this year and then rise to $6.5m in 2025. That does not assume any contribution to revenues above the development contributions from the partner. Net cash is forecast to be $27m at the end of 2024.

Saw the deal launch video posted here yesterday. The only extra bit of info, and possibly an indication but certainly no guarantee, on where the $10bn partner is primarily based. When the geographic regions were flagged Asia was first. Then Europe then USA. Could be alpha order but unlikely.

BATM have been working on a commercial version of the IDF and Israeli govt security platform that they could market for quite some time now. Understanding was that they would need permission and restructuring to do this. It should have happened quite some time ago but now that it has its good to see that they are partnering and not trying to market this themselves.
At the end of the day BATM is an R&D company and their IP is only valuable if its developed and sold or partnered with a larger group that has the sales and marketing clout.
There are also synergies here with the cyber software bundling in Edgility which massively extends their target markets.
