It's definitely all their fault the stock is down..good spot !They threatened you you say ..in what form ?What investigation into them would you like exactly?Seems you can smear advisors but not the company..just checking on the rules! On a serious note they have been advisors to the company since it IPO'ed..i should know! So over 2 decades the same advisor and the same CEO ..there is little independence in the relationship...which in corporate governance circles is not a great thing. On my MBO thesis Shore Capital would make decent fees i guess and the founder Howard Shore, a very wealthy man and friend of Milken could well be a financier. All supposition ..like much on here!

>echo.... any thoughts on what Shore Capital is up to. They seem to not only have messed things up but appear to have ulterior motives. I think they should be looked at a lot more carefully. Shore have threatened me before for asking for clarification. They also refused to pass on contact details I provided them with. One of them particularly embarrassing.
I don't like their style one bit.
Also they issue no brokerage notes to speak of and when they do they invariably get it wrong.
Something smells with Shore and I think they should be investigated.

Could the company avail themselves of the services of the mighty Viridian and Rhino? That would help.

Could always be being allowed to drift ahead of a low ball MBO ..(reason for suspension of buy back ) with a strong balance sheet and some wealthy friends the company might well see a period of private ownership prior to floating divisions off in the states over the next couple of years a highly attractive prospect right now. Maybe not so good for shareholders long term but likely decent premium over current levels.

>echo.... think you are close to whats going on here.
There does appear to be a degree of manipulation here with a handful of sells at the end of the day sufficient to push the share price down. As there is no conviction and we have lost momentum whether by chance or design the share price falls away at the end of the day on very low volume.
You have to go back a long way to the 10:1 share split that saw the share price go over 700p when it should have shown 70p.
In any event it cant stay like this, unless there is some meteoric negative news that no one has known about for months now and that seems impossible.
Wish I could be more helpful but as I say its all a bit of a mystery...actually make that one heck of trip into the twilight zone FFS

piscous - normally I would discourage such speculation because, well, it is normally not true. However, I agree that with this name, since I've been involved anyway, I have noticed a more-often-than-not level of what appears like an effort to weaken the share price into the close, rather than genuine trading. One promising sign from the more general area of trading activity, is that for the first time in forever, Shore Capital is on the bid side of the market, instead of exclusively showing offers. Perhaps a long-term seller is finally out by and large.

>Wizz.... You are absolutely correct on that score.
The enterprise value of BATM is closer to 4 to 5x this level for a typical company with IP at this stage of development.

Looking at the daily trades there is a pattern, after 3pm ish the AT sell trades come in, the MM lower the bid/offer on no trade volume and we end up with a UT below the bid.

Surely this is manipulation, who's behind it? Ennismore are short for a good reason.

yea wizz, I pointed that out myself a short while ago and fse seconded the math. It's hardly definitive as it was a smallish sum for the 0.5% and BVC may well not have cared too much about the imputed value they were putting on the whole business as a result, but it certainly is a fun little data point and adds a very interesting wrinkle to the debate about the craziness of this share price.

Only few months ago BATM purchased half a percent of ADOR at 4m usd. according to my calculations-the 37.2% that BATM hold in ADOR is worth almost as much as 100% of BATM at todays price...crazzzy!

I am not usually lost for words or any explanation.
We have just had an excellent set of results and very strong future guidance with all divisions in profit.
Whatever the fall is related to its does not appear to be the company prospects.
I posted a list of contributing perfect storm items but this is not cyclical weakness its a collapse.
The company is in great financial shape and ought to be the type of investment you would want to hold through a downturn.
They are IMO trading at 1/3rd their support or FMV.

Oakville - push the button....The buyback is now clearly way overdue, though this week would have been difficult to begin it as there was only Tuesday where both UK and TASE were open simultaneously. In addition of course, we are in the midst of a major market correction, particularly in tech stocks. However, because BVC obviously did not participate in the tech rally, the recent 20% correction is way overdone and represents a great entry point. Fundamentally, at this point, not only are BVC trading at or below 15x forward earnings, but I really don't think that the delay in the buyback has any negative business/fundamental implications(other than the fact that the Company buying would certainly help halt this decline of course). In fact, if business were sluggish or the Ador presentation at the Milken conference had been a dud, etc., I reckon the Company would be so much more incentivised to be in the market now supporting the share price in anticipation of having to deliver some bad news in the near future. The fact that they seem to be dragging their feet, on top of the lengthy holiday periods recently and the already discussed difficulties in doing any capital returns in the Israeli market, could mean that they are focused on working towards some (more) positive outcome(s) and will finally start the buyback after closing on them (I know, I know, but it is plausible given how healthy the core businesses are). And finally, one more thing to keep in mind: this decline has been on miserable volume. One decent institutional buyer on top of Lombard, and we can and should make up a lot of lost ground in a hurry.

The proposed buyback “forms part of the Board's broader strategy to deliver shareholder value”. It was passed in the general meeting 17 March 2022. Closing share price that day was 50.7p. Today’s closing share price 41.8p. 17.5% lower.

Yes, I didn't realise yesterday was closed for Memorial Day, today is closed for Independence Day and tomorrow of course market is always closed. Meantime, we were closed here on Monday. So this was always going to be next week's business. Sorry for missing that.
