You idiot, the share buy back, is not open to anyone, it's a vehicle for the company to buy back their own shares, normally for cancellation, therefore decreasing the amount of shares available and consequently the Sp rising, you plonker!!

The more interesting bit will occur as the buyback starts. If Lombard does not participate, which is very likely given their recent buying history, then the Fund will breach 30% of the Company, which normally would require them to bid for the shares they do not already own. However, there is precedent for such events, and it is also likely LO will get a dispensation from the stock exchange from having to bid for the balance of the Company. Still, it might cause a bit of extra positive sparks regardless as a near-majority of the Company will no longer be 'free-float'.

It is as clear as day in point 7. The fund have gone from 27% to 28%, a massive vote of confidence that the market has historically chosen to ignore but is starting to get the message finally in my view.....

Lombard Odier just INCREASED their holding by around 1% and are nearing the crucial 30% level, which is one of the reasons the share price is on this steady move higher at the moment. The fund manager itself is otherwise in rude health, you idiot

BATM (LSE: BVC; TASE: BVC), a leading provider of real-time technologies for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems, gives notice that a General Meeting (the "Meeting") of the Group is to be held at 12:00 p.m. Israel-time (10:00 a.m. UK-time) on 17 March 2022 at the Group's registered office at 4 Ha'harash Street, Nave Ne'eman Industrial Area, P.O.B. 7318, 4524075 Hod Hasharon, Israel.

The purpose of the Meeting is to seek shareholder approval for the buyback of up to 44,053,412 ordinary shares of NIS0.01 ("Ordinary Shares") in the capital of the Group (the "Buyback Programme"), representing 10% of the Group's issued share capital as at the date of this announcement. The Group has a strong balance sheet and the Buyback Programme, which would be funded from the Group's net cash, forms part of the Board's broader strategy to deliver shareholder value.

In order to enable shareholder engagement and participation for those unable to physically attend the Meeting, shareholders will be able to access the Meeting via videoconference. Please note, shareholders will not be able to vote at the Meeting via the videoconference. Shareholders attending the Meeting via videoconference are therefore strongly encouraged to submit their vote in advance the Meeting.

An attractive dip buy
I think buying BATM Advanced Communications (LSE: BVC) could be a shrewd move following recent extreme share price weakness. The business — which manufactures coronavirus-testing equipment — has slumped as fears over the pandemic have receded. However, as soaring cases in China show, the battle against the pandemic is far from over. Indeed, Infection numbers in the country have just hit two-year highs.

In a recent article in The Lancet, scientist Christopher Murray claimed that “Covid-19 will continue but the end of the pandemic is near”. This suggests that demand for BATM’s products could continue ticking along even if a fresh full-blown upturn in the pandemic is avoided.

But I wouldn’t just buy this penny stock for its Covid-19 testing kits. The business also generates a sizeable chunk of revenues from manufacturing networking and cyber security products. These are two areas that could grow significantly as the digital revolution clicks through the gears. Revenues from BATM’s cyber security division, for example, leapt 111% year-on-year in 2021.

A high-profile failure of BATM’s systems could prove catastrophic for future revenues. But it’s still my belief that the advantages of owning this particular cheap UK share outweigh the risks.

Russia will lose this war same as they did in Afghanistan. They miscalculated badly on fighting in difficult terrain. Afghan mountains or Ukraine forests that can conceal the defenders. Then introduce RPG's and Stingers all sounds like the same military error. Thats what happens when a politician runs the military and orders troops in against military advice.
I do not think that this will be a protracted war.

The cyber war as paulisi highlights is not going away and we have Edge computing, IOT, 5G networks and applications. Having secure networks is an essential.
Marom said in a recent interview that he expected that Cyber would continue to grow exponentially because we are all now living in a world that cant cope without it.

I cant figure out their game either but its done the share price no favours as per their intent. Still they cant do it forever so its a buy and hold op.
