The good news is that we're going to buy back up to 10% at a discounted price.

Its a "catching the falling knife" situation at the moment. Who knows where it will end up.

That will probably depend on the numbers at next results. What we need to see is momentum in earnings.

And what is your opinion on BATM after everything. Do you think BATM shorters will make good money from BATM or do you think that BATM will bounce back and put pressure on the shorters?

According to todays Wall Street Journal Cisco has made a £20bn bid for Splunk. Splunk is involved in monitoring data for cyber security and is moving to a subscription service on the Cloud. Perhaps someone will offer a few hundred million for BATM.

Telco systems and Audio Codes another Israeli company are co operating together as we were told a few months ago. Interestingly Audio Codes has a dual listing TASE and NASDAQ.
So there are parallels.

Heres this piece of kit FWIW

The new routers run on hardware powered by Telco’s Systems Edgility edge compute platform; because the routers aren’t running on dedicated hardware, the software is freeing significant computing resources for any virtual service.
“Our Service Provider customers are looking to enable enterprises to deploy new and advanced services and applications,” explained Shaul Weissman, VP of Business Development at AudioCodes.

Came across this Jan 28th article .. on the same trade mag for edge computing

As part of the new collaboration, the companies have jointly released a new solution based on the smart edge computing software Telco Systems’ Edgility, which will come pre-installed on a variety of Advantech’s universal edge network appliances.

No not at all although i don't have much to do with them these days at all. I said similar this morning when the FT said that Shore were now looking into the share register. I believe changing advisors every now and then like NEDs is a good thing and makes the relationship less cosy. Shore ipo'ed it in 1996 i believe and are still principal advisor it seems. As well as overlapping directorships with Dr Marom at times , doesnt smack of independence.

Its a shooting yourself in the foot move IMO.
Do you think I am off script with my comments about Shore ?

Nope not at all...i have though been in touch with the guy who has done the blog. I find it better than just dismissing it out of hand with zero evidence , whinging about supposed shorters and attacking people with an alternative view. I think the blog is supported by facts..but i haven't heard BATM side yet. If you want to bring it up and go through it all again then knock yourself out but I'm not sure that helps anyone ,i know more now after the communication.

Kooba,

You seemed to have calmed down since your last embarrassing outrage. Perhaps you have taken the time to do some research, rather than basing your opinion of a misinformed blog.

FSE All fair comment would only add that as a subsidiary of the LSE , FTSE Russell is potentially damaging London’s reputation for overseas companies to list here just when London is supposedly seeking to be a hub for global technology companies. Batm was i believe the second company to list on AIM quite a trailblazing move at the time and supporting London’s then embryonic junior market and technology credentials..seems that faith is not valued or remembered now.

FWIW I have been belly aching about Shore Capital for some time now.(like years)
This index listing has been an issue for quite some time so its not like they did not have more than adequate warning.
Marom used to be on the board at Shore and Shore want to retain BATM business so will not appreciate a NASDAQ move and this in itself is a problem.
I assume BATM would need a US broker or does Shore have an ancillary connection with NASDAQ, maybe Shore can still act as broker but I don't know the answer to that one and you sure as hell will not get one from calling Shore.
Whats suits them may not be best for the company and unless proven to the contrary I will take the line that Shore Capital messed this up and should not stay on in the position.... or they could just do their wretched job and pay some attention for a change it could be enlightening for them.
As I have a considerable investment in BATM I do not appreciate Shore style and the fact they will not answer questions that are in their domaine.
Last year I was looking for a contact rep English speaking and called Shore as an intermediary to put us in touch with the appropriate BATM contact to talk to the Canadian Government MP.... Shore could not even bother to return the call or reply in any way.

I would agree with kooba that index changes would be factored in bit like shares that are about to go ex dividend. Markets run on short term sentiment and long term fundamentals so it will adjust once these hi jinx have been sorted out.

The index fiasco may be a storm in a teacup but IMO needs working out. Whilst it has a marginal effect technically it has had a huge effect sentiment wise.

They are no longer to be considered for inclusion in ftse indices, their london listing remains intact..same as now..no likely change in long term liquidity at all as far as i am aware. The market is already anticipating that there will be some selling for funds who hold the shares so they can track the index that Batm has been in for years...i have not seen a definitive amount of stock involved but there could be some pressure on the price at the point the shares are no longer index constituents , although to be fair usually adjustments are factored in prior to index change days so not usually any big moves on the day often can see jumps afterwards. In the meantime the company could come up with a trading update as they did last year but looks like they will just move to release final results due...which was at the end of February last year.So there should be news before the index changes i reckon.

They are not being delisted at all ! Merely reclassified for index inclusion. Nobody should sell thinking they will not be able to deal.

Initially I started to be interested in BVC, an old "batman" of the 2000's, when it was hitting £50+ with "GEO". Now that we are in this situation what's the point if it is going to be delisted from LSE with all these clouds hanging around it ? Why didnd't they just stay as exactly as they were before ? Why suddenly we are faced with this "problem" ? Something is telling me that there are more than problems. So I lost hope with this one. All the best for anyone trapped.

No am still a holder not adding just yet though either..am interested in how BATM respond to the index exclusion and the blog allegations....they may not comment directly on the blog but both these situations i believe will get the company's backs up and that Dr first lieutenant Zvi Marom will come out fighting , to prove his detractors wrong. So let battle commence and see what they have planned.

Mostly look after my kids, play in investments and seemingly annoy people on bulletin boards...to be fair i only speak what i believe and do not lie. My crime was to suggest the comments in a blog posted on here that i considered well researched should be read as there was some importance to the content, unfortunately many on here thought that anything that might be negative must be total lies.I have now made contact with the author to challenge some points. But hell nobody wants to know that..so will drop it.

But any internal transfers between funds would have to go through a risk committee in fund management houses these days as the dangers of mis-pricing assets is potentially problematic so the best way to ensure fair play to underlying unit holders is to transact through open market. The idea that any old fund might take assets being ejected out of a tracker is also fallacy.I’m sure will get sorted once Shore Cap finally get into gear. The more interesting thing in the FT article is obviously that the company could be well advanced in some restructuring moves as listed, demergers ,US listings etc , it may be that things did not pan out on the FTSE 12 month timetable to avoid reclassification but are still in train. Here’s hoping hey!
