That’s really not the point here. The insect processing news is in tandem with several million dollar orders for large scale ISS machines. It’s been accepted for quite some time that large scale agriculture processors need to be more pro active on waste disposal techniques. Celitron have demonstrated that it’s not only possible to do this but they can derive revenue from it as well. Rather a compelling sales pitch. Also this is a division of celitron which is a division of BATM.

$0.5 to $1.5m for an order at unknown margin on a near 400m M.cap company was never going to move the share price.

Good to see their tech in a new vertical, but it doesn't exactly look like a fast moving sales item to me either.

Share price has been weak for some time, probably in part because the heat has gone out of any rises connected with Covid.

Whether 80p provides a share price floor time will tell, but the valuation here aint cheap either.

Really the sooner we lose the covid hype the better. Covid just highlighted the services that BATM Medical offered. The demand for in situ machines that can test for a plethora of infectious diseases is hardly going away.

Re TElco. What they are selling is UCPE kit and that has already proven that they are past the proof of concept stage and selling product. share price is not reflecting this. Thanks to wizz for posting the broker reviews.

Why would covid revenue drop ?Testing is still required as the vaccine will take time to impact.Also batm testing is for fast testing for serious disease like pneumonia which are not going away

Still looks like a day trader stock to me. We need some positive order newsflow to get real buying going. Hopefully the AGM will be preceded by some order announcements preferably in the Telco business which demonstrates the conversion of POCs into profitable revenue.

I would suspect that Celitron would make up the majority of the medical division's revenue once covid revenue drops.They have agri waste, ventilators and this protein products which is quite substantial.Would be interesting to see the revenue split in the results by company.

BATM Advanced Communications Limited‘s (LON:BVC) delivery of a new Celitron instrument underlines how quickly the group is developing in all areas, says house broker Shore Capital.

The main market-listed group announced this morning that its Celitron arm had sold the machine to a Belgian customer that will use it to produce high-quality insect protein powder and oil.

Celitron is already using its integrated steriliser and shredder (ISS) technology on harmful agricultural and medical waste to render them benign.

This latest bit of kit recovers solid protein and oils from insects such as worms and flies that feed on waste.





The result is an insect protein powder that can be used as a substitute for fishmeal and oils in aquaculture feed.

Celitron had already picked up orders worth US$8.3mln this year, but this is a new market application for its technology.

BATM shares have enjoyed a good run this year on the back of its success in COVID-19-related diagnostic solutions while in the Networking & Cyber division, progress has also been strong.

The recent contract with a Tier 1 network provider for its NFVTime solution while a COVID-19 test solution for a significant global private laboratory group headquartered in Italy providing COVID-19 testing throughout Europe, primarily for large businesses such as airports.

The successful launch of its NFVTime solution heralds a material growth opportunity, in the view of Shore Cap, while Celitron look set to grow into 2021.

“BATM is addressing large market opportunities demanding technology-based solutions,” added the broker, which it said it sees further upgrades ahead.

Shares rose 3.5% to 88.8p.

Was not entirely surprised to hear about this announcement as the work they did with ISS particularly with the processing capacity to generate protein from the rendering and sterilization process has been a foot for quite a while. The implications for fish farms aquaculture is a very major leap forwards as at the moment these farms feed fish to fish which is somewhat self defeating logic.

Big takeaway though from all of this is as a few have already commented. The company is firing on all cylinders and with solutions out of the R&D phase and now in the market place (including the insect 🐜 business) its all looking positive.

That's the positive-BATM firing on ALL cylinders which should underpin its status as a diverse tech and medical diagnostics business with several revenue streams-the kind of company that can eventually achieve and sustain a market cap in the billions-and pay dividends.
This morning's 'out of the blue' RNS just shows what the company is capable of, and while on the surface it hardly looks a game changer I'm sure those in the know can see considerable significance re future potential.

Always interesting to see what the company is developing.I wonder if this is an excuse to do another interview with proactive investors about the progress on the other products as news has been thin recently
