while it is down around 97 - 100 I suspect there will be day traders making money on the volatility. 7% down when the /ftse is down 3%. I suspect its overdone and there maybe a small pull back to 100 at the end of the day.

You probably wont read it on the liberal media but Joe Biden has been accused of using his position when VP to enrich his son and himself with business dealings in the Ukraine , China and elsewhere. Democrats at first called it a Russian plot but thats been debunked. Looks as if Joe Biden was involved and the story is being covered up by the Liberal (Democrat voting) media like CNN, MSNBC etc.
If its true, which it does appear to be, then Biden could be forced out as soon as he takes office. This would be convenient for Bernie Sanders, Harris and Warren who dont want him there in any event he is a pawn to get rid of Trump.
Financial markets have a habit of knowing about this type of news. Wit whats out there now this election really should be delayed until the facts are known.
They could elect someone and then have to remove him whilst the world looks on in stunned amazement.

Re BATM.... None of this has anything to do with BATM other than the markets are looking generally weak and people are starting to pull money out. BATM also rose on Covid Hype which highlighted their infectious disease products and solutions which are as needed now as back then. Volumes have been lower than typical recently with no real impetus to buy other than they are now oversold. Of course if you do not buy when the wolf is at the door you don't get the benefits later.

I can't see that Biden as president will have an impact on BATM share price. It may impact the market generally but BATM doesn't tend to follow the market. Its a niche company driven by its own success. We need some new positive newsflow plus the divi.

Piscous. Not sure it’s anything to do with covid. That’s more likely to send it up. I think the imminent Biden victory is doing the damage as was being mentioned here yesterday.

Sub £1 this morning. How low can it go now it has breached £1? Those buyers at 150p will have to wait a while. There was talk of a divi maybe when the divi is announced it will lift the price

A Biden win could be a complete sh*t show for the markets. His proposed Tax increases and mandated lock downs will certainly have a negative effect on business and shareholders. The US is currently energy efficient largely due to large implementation of natural gas. Biden wants to end fossil fuels before he has an alternative.
Typically there would not be much difference between a Democrat or Republican Govt but this time the Democrats are packed with the far left.

None of this should have any effect on BATM business but general market sentiment not so good.

Odd share price action here considering the supposed good news flow. Looks like it's setting up to go of a cliff."

BATM medical are in no way dependent on Covid testing. It highlighted what they were capable of doing in the field of infectious diseases. The division were doing very well prior to Covid and I would expect them to continue that way.
There are a pile of one trick ponies out there but this is not one of them.
Of course they have the whole Telco and cyber business which seem to have been ignored with the covid hype. This is an area that will see exponential growth at an accelerated timeframe due to the extended work from home and other considerations for industry platforms.
Remember this company does actually make money, is well funded and does not need to go to the markets to keep on track.

Zvi said expect to hear from him again this quarter, so another announcement is due and the price should react positively.

NellyB thanks. I am a long term holder but my building project will require additional funding over the next couple of months so will need to sell. So my question was do I sell now or sit tight for 2 months in the belief they will climb a bit. I think the 150p wont be revisited for some time but it may get back to 125p.

Good point. But much of the bullish press is predicated on the 5g side of the business. And this aspect seems to be being overlooked ? The covid side in this regard is more the icing on the cake.

my take on it is that if a vaccine becomes available soon it will make many of the test kits irrelevant. Could that be the case? Italy is testing at the airport and the subsidiary is based in Italy-could it be doing the testing? The other factor may be the delay in announcing the home test kit which they said would be available Q4

Since it became apparent that ventilators were, in many covid cases, doing more harm than good; I had assumed that there would be no follow on orders for Celitron’s ventilators. However, Romania and the Czech Republic are both now desperately short of ventilators (Hungary has donated 150 of them to the latter) so another order seems likely.

This is now on Investors Chronicle Site for those who did not get the earlier scoop.
Looks like he is referring to NFVTime. I have had a chance to read it over and would agree with his synopsis. .... heres the update

"Investors have failed to grasp the significance of the latest contract wins from BATM Advanced Communications (BVC:115.5p), a provider of medical laboratory systems, diagnostic kits, cyber security and network solutions.

The Israel-based technology group is now gaining significant traction in commercialising its valuable intellectual property, as I noted after BATM signed up its first tier 1 telecoms customer for its NFVTime virtual networking solution (‘Bull market pointers’, 1 September 2020). Operating on both Arm-based and Intel-based architectures, the cutting-edge technology enables network carriers to remotely deploy their own virtualised software-based networks. Analysts at house broker Shore Capital believe that revenue from this one customer alone could scale into a multi-million dollar recurring base over the next five years. NFV is critical in leveraging the benefits offered by 5G and the Internet of Things, so expect many more tier one customers to adopt the technology in due course.

BATM’s medical laboratory systems business is firing on all cylinders, too, having just received an initial €4.3m (£3.9m) order for its Covid-19 Real-Time PCR diagnostic antigen test kits and instruments from a major global private laboratory group. BATM expects to receive “further significant orders from this customer during the current quarter and over the next 12 months”. In addition, the directors have updated investors on the progress being made on a raft of new diagnostic kits.

BATM’s new multi-pathogen respiratory molecular diagnostics kit is in the final validation phase, with production and deliveries expected to commence shortly. In less than an hour the test can identify and differentiate between respiratory viruses including those that cause Covid-19, flu and the common cold. As the flu season approaches, this could be a game changer for medical authorities around the world. BATM is also commencing production of its new at-home test kit for flu, developed in partnership with Novamed, after being CE certified and validated. Finally, BATM has started to deliver its Covid-19 antigen kit, which has been upgraded to detect the spike (S) protein, thus providing more accurate results by identifying the virus even in those with a low viral load. This is important in preventing non- and pre-symptomatic individuals from unknowingly spreading the infection.

It’s my strong view that revenues and profits from BATM’s high-growth segments will ramp up sharply in the coming years and in the process dramatically reduce BATM’s enterprise valuation to cash profit multiple of 42 times (based on 2020 estimates). The positive growth trends at work here also justify maintaining my buy recommendation even though the shares have already delivered a 540 per cent gain since I included them in my 2017 Bargain Shares portfolio. A return to this year’s 150p share price highs, and beyond, is not unrealistic. Buy.

Anyone interested further there is actually a really good summary here. Link below.
The old infrastructure was not going to be able to support increased demands in bandwidth and data management. A lot of this limitation was cost and disruption.
What has changed here is that NVF has gone from concept to standard.
NFVTime takes the effectiveness further by implementation of SOCS at the heart of ARM architecture and Intel platforms. Bundling cyber security in this suite is another critical enhancement.
This is a sector that will see substantial growth in the years ahead.

heres a bit more explaining SOCS

Its relevance in light of the new business with Vodafone on ARM platform and contract win on Intel platform. I am assuming that when Simon Thompson commented that investors were not picking up on the implications of these contract wins this is what he is referring to principally.

Updated for new content and links.
> paul.... In a nutshell you are getting savings by using software driven solutions rather than adding or switching out hardware. Its a far more reactive solution. Links above honestly explain that better than I can.
