Have spoken to someone who met the company I am warming to the idea of genuine strategic change and that we might just be on the cusp of seeing some significant reward for all the R&D spend ...they need to sell the stuff now though , not something that has been their forte in the past. Major investment in sales or partnerships required to crack the markets they face...but could be big rewards if they manage it.

Last entry point sub 30p today I feel. I have made a couple of very small top ups in my continual quest to average down. That's probably it for me for some while.

From memory, the Company stated that the (iced) $20m Far East Government order would take 6-weeks to prepare and ship. So if testing is back on this Autumn/Winter, especially in the Far East, they would need to order in the next 4-6 weeks for it to be ready to meet the point of maximum need.

Reference to echo comments above. There is a factor with the Israeli index inclusion to consider especially as mentioned a lot of Israeli tech companies have been hammered , it's not a BATM specific.
BATM fell off earlier than most due to the misconception it was a Covid stock albeit did short term benefit from the Covid reagent sales for PCR analysis because it was able to do that. Ditto the ventilators. It was never their plan.
We are now dealing with the effects of long term fallout from the Pandemic and higher interest rates which has put a lot of tech companies on very lowly ratings in many cases 30% of historical valuations
I used the example of Audio Codes an Israeli company that BATM do business with that have suffered the same collapse in share price

First off, let me be clear that the GARP story that is increasingly coming into focus here - the 3 rock-solid business foundation, the clutch of credible short- and medium-term catalysts, the pristine balance sheet, the improving comms under the new leadership, the prospect for u/g to Shore Cap's forecasts - are all more than enough for me to argue that this rally may just be getting started, but if we are going to share our favourite outside-the-box triggers that might independently lift the share price, then I offer the following as an alternative to a potential covid move: a return to the TASE 125. 2023 has been a pretty miserable year for Israeli equities, particularly vs almost all other developed markets, marked by the bankruptcy of over 80 high-tech companies (mostly private companies to be fair, but still very impactful) due to painfully high interest rates and a commensurate decline in capital availability. As a result, there are now several companies with market caps in the low $200millions and the smallest company, Oramed Pharm, is now below $125m in the TASE 125. On Friday, BATM went out at about $155m market cap. Now, we're still a long-shot for any number of reasons including that there could well be a number of other possible entrants that are bigger than BATM (and I can't be bothered to find out right now), and even if not, bvc may still not gain entry due to the 'free float' factor score that the exchange considers when making these decisions, etc. But remember, BATM's ejection from this very index almost exactly a year ago, saw over 7m net shares get sold on the rebalancing date, which caused far more damage to our share price than the fiasco with the FTSE-Russell index the previous year. So even if there is only a whiff of a chance that the TASE 125 decision reverses - especially relevant if our share price breaks out for whatever reason for a 20%+ run vs the index and its nearest competitors of course - I think it's worth just a tiny mention now, no?

My view would be if BATM got an announced order (like the Far East Govt order that was iced) we would get a pile on from Covid stock chasers. Hasn’t happened as yet — the last couple of days of buying, fairly small scale, was clearly as a result of the investor outreach. Doesn’t take much interest to trigger big rises.

Sure kooba, they did say all that, this week and elsewhere recently. Very true. I was just pushing back on what this likely troll was trying to argue. None of the relevant demand Thurs and Friday came from 'covid buyers'. It was driven exclusively by pros coming out of the one-on-ones and the zoom call management had with a half dozen+ institutions.

The company said they are ready and well prepared if there is a pick up in demand for covid tests and are re-engaged with a customer...quite possible that some are anticipating increased interest in viral diagnostics..maybe not what the company want to be known for but they have a business directly facing that potential demand so might as well make hay...https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/sep/04/covid-testing-to-be-scaled-up-in-england-as-winter-pressure-on-nhs-draws-nearhttps://healthpolicy-watch.news/who-concerned-about-rise-in-covid-hospitalisation-but-lacks-data-from-member-states/

The mini-breakout was the result of at least 3 new funds buying off the back of the best organised, clearest message-driven series of post-results meetings the Company has conducted in forever. Moti impressed broadly on both his breadth of insights on the businesses that will drive the Company forward, as well as his prudent, measured approach to his M&A strategy in this higher interest rate environment where the Company's solid cash position gives it the whip hand. There were a whole host of additional factors that have emerged from those meetings that I will try and summarise next week, but one thing I can confidently say is that one of those factors was NOT anything to do with the recent Covid spike. Zero. But it has everything to do with the fact that this is a company and a share price with enormous store of value (ie., demonstrably cheap!) where management is persuading an increasing group of investors that there are growing list of varied and significant triggers in the near- and medium-term that can and will realise that value. Again, NOTHING to do with any sympathy with a spike in a bunch of 'covid' names. Nothing

Hi Folks! It's been a while. Good to see some of the usual suspects still here. BVC was very kind to me in 2020, and I managed to sell the vast majority of my shares at over 1 quid during the height of covid.

The recent spike in share price is nothing to do with BVC moving from being undervalued to fairer value. It is, again, due to Covid and the increased incidence, leading countries like France to encourage mask wearing once more.

You will see that other diagnostic companies also spiked this week.

If BVC really takes off in the coming weeks, please keep in mind that it could be due to another covid bubble, and make sure you sell before the inevitable dip. Just some friendly advice because, last time some investors like FSE misinterpreted the reason for the spike and missed out on taking big profits.

Good luck all!

The company is chronically undervalued if thats the appropriate adjective.
Some decent news flow and signs that the company is getting its act together with sales and marketing albeit they have their hands full.

Glad to see the share price has begun to move in line with fundamentals. Hopefully we can close > 30. In terms of the non core divisions I think it would be best if BATM sell them off. Focusing on the 4 core businesses would increase likelihood of success and thus exponentially increase revenue over the coming years.

But i presume we get funds for the disposals of lower margin lower growth businesses and the 4 core business revenues will grow and so will the margins which will lead to a growth rating and further boost the coffers. The 10 non core are a drag on margins and growth. Either they are serious about rationalising the group and get on with it , or its just words. If they believe in the key core growth areas and do make an acquisition to further build on networking and Edgility marketing and distribution then central costs structures are no reason to delay implementation in my view.

It should be noted that the non core delivers big chunks of revenue. So peel these off too rapidly and you have a lot of corporate infrastructure to pay for out of the core.
