The volume is a very positive sign. There continues to be at least 2 decent buyers in the UK while the short selling in Israel is also coming up - finally - against some real buyers as well. I continue to call this a bottom, or at least a bottoming process, with likely some choppy trading into the first week of August. Same caveat regarding the major indices not rolling over too much, still applies.

Looks like will be one of highest volumes in 3 months on LSE.
Similar big volumes in Tel Aviv…1.9m.
So have to guess its arbitrage related..

This whole thing has smelt fishy for months, if you can read between the lines of the rampers and derampers, but this is only a bb which shouldn't affect the Sp. The Co need to keep their owners, us shareholders informed, I don't have any faith in brokers or mms they only have their own interests at heart!!

I don't get this ..huge level of small sells ..could be a big print out later ..but at least it is being absorbed by a sizeable buyer , albeit they are getting filled now at lower level at 34p. Could be all arbitrage related out of Israel but it is slightly baffling. We have seen days where nothing goes through then we've seen two days of very high volumes all made up of numerous order book fills when there has been no triggering news.

Decent buyer working 34.5p but look at all the sell prints..quite odd. Could be arbitrage selling out of Israel but lots and lots of small odd number orders.

Closing at days high also a rare positive. Volumes highest for quite a while. Feels far more bullish.

Certainly seems like the shorter/seller has dumped larger volumes and someone has been picking up the cheap stock, hope the slow recovery continues and we had put a bottom in. That said the company has an obligation to inform there owners/shareholders what has caused the dramatic fall in the share price other than market sentiment, and the stopping of the buyback..

I agree, certainly the volume indicates a turning point and not another head fake. Come on let's be having you , I have added down here to average 43p ..be nice to get back on side. Also be good to have a clue what's going on ! Maybe in a months time we might have both.

I was referring to the bounce in world stock markets, not BATM. As long as that doesn't completely reverse, I'm confident we've seen the lows in our share price There are at least 2 decent sized buyers around today who agree with me, fwiw

I love your optimism, if that's what it is!! The Sp is 3-4% off the year all time low in Laarnden not Israel, where is this recent bounce you talk of? Hows your crystal ball..

I think by this time next week, we will have seen the bottom in this sp, if we haven't already. If markets remain reasonably well underpinned (ie., we don't completely reverse this recent bounce), I think BVC can recover to mid-40s on fundamentals and continued reduced selling pressure (particularly noticeable for the past 2 1/2 sessions in Tel Aviv where much of the recent selling seems to have originated) alone.

Because I know how long-only UK institutions operate and LO in particular. I was involved in Eland which they helped engineer a takeover - at or near its all-time high. They've held this position, including at Henderson's for 10+ years and its trading at distressed valuation levels despite such great promise in its key businesses. It's just inconceivable to think LO would countenance a low-ball bid to take the company private at these levels and under these circumstances. That's it. No mas on this for me.

Echo you pretend to know what is in the minds of shareholders accounting for half the company ...but in no way have more information than is in the public domain. How is this possible if you are unconnected??
