13/10/2021 14:54 | >Paulisi.... I think thats the dilemma for many. The markets have been buoyed up by investors who can not make a return from Bonds or cash deposits and property will get hit if interest rates rise. I got rid of some commercial property a few months ago which had soared in value and the returns from rentals simply don't justify the price. I have not re invested it. The general markets IMO are @ 20% overvalued given as you say global inflation and supply chain issues and labour shortages. I looked at buying some dividend bearing stocks but again whilst I could use the 4% or 5% returns I cant make sense out of that purchase either as ETF's are trading at too much of a premium, so am just sitting on a pile of cash. I am only holding, as I posted some while back, special situations like BATM that are well funded and in high growth areas and pivotal to any recovery. Unfortunately with a severe downturn investors wont be too selective in what they dump nevertheless BVC is a contrary stock in some ways and is quite capable of climbing or holding its own in a falling market. | ![]() fse
12/10/2021 21:56 | Tempted to add at this price, but two fears:Markets in general may be overpriced with impeding global price inflation and as BATM is my biggest holding, adding would create greater risk if anything went wrong. | ![]() paulisi
12/10/2021 11:12 | At a time when many can't afford to suffer any business disruption, we see an increase in cyber security threats. 41% of organizations have reported experiencing increased incidents while employees are working from home. hxxps://assets.kpmg/ | ![]() wizzkid211
07/10/2021 21:07 | The interview was excellent and I got the impression that NFV is ahead of schedule and revenue will come quicker than expected. | ![]() paulisi
07/10/2021 16:50 | Remember BATM acquired the medical business in an attempt to keep the company "as a whole" functioning through the vagaries of the Telco business which was faced with years of development to repurpose the business plan. This entailed divesting of the legacy business and moving to Security and Cloud computing then developing solutions appropriate to the changing landscape and thats at a time when the markets doubted NFV would go anywhere. Telco systems are in a pivotal place to get a decent slice of the new Telecommunications platform. Edgility (NFVTime) is now embedded in numerous other companies products and development strategy. What is frustrating is that the one factor (Covid) that pushed this all ahead time wise with the ever increasing SOHO demands ended up slowing its deployment. In turn this means that providers the ones that deploy it business and general use have to now get with the game. The interview is well worth listening to and the time frame they are operating under is going to cause yet another bottleneck. Thats why CEMEX decided they did not want to wait for their provider to offer the services so went to Telco directly with the co operation of their provider. We are just not there yet with respect to large revenue flow its a scene of furious jockeying to get in the right direction. Thats why these tie ups are probably more important than individual contract wins. The medical division has not just provided Telco with impressive breathing space but has also done rather well in its own right. I was very doubtful about the earliest movements into the medical side but it looks as if management were correct in their vision all those years ago. Yes the game for NFV is now underway. Added: The Ariel Efrati interview/update really does explain where Telco is at. He mentions that the last few months have seen a huge uptick and they are with these tie ups very much where they want to be. The tie up with AudioCodes is very significant because they needed the OS from Telco to orchestrate cloud marketing and make it relevant to their clients. How many others are in this position as they shift to Edge solutions. I am glad they did the interview with Ariel the CEO of Telco systems as it should clear up any concerns as to the progress made and the huge growth ahead. In any event thumbs up to BATM management for handing the mike over to Ariel for the Telco update. | ![]() fse

07/10/2021 14:29 | Interview with Ariel Efrati Telco systems. The pieces are all coming together. BATM / Telco systems are listed on AudioCodes website as a development partner. Dr Zvi Marom , CEO of BATM, said : "We are delighted to be partnering with AudioCodes to provide a simple-to-deploy and cost-effective solution to meet the growing demand for virtualisation technology and edge computing capabilities. AudioCodes operates in over 100 countries, counts 66 of the top 100 service providers among its clients Of interest AudioCodes has a listing on NASDAQ and TASE Exchange/Symbol Today's quote on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE)* * quote on TASE is in NIS (New Israeli Shekels) AudioCodes common stock commenced trading on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol "AUDC" on May 28, 1999. Since October 21, 2001, AudioCodes' stock is also traded under the symbol "AUDC" on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). Added comment. There is an interesting piece on the chip shortage and Intels efforts to respond to this. This shortage has been caused very largely from SOHO growth, BATM Telco systems are a fundamental piece of this framework. | ![]() fse

06/10/2021 12:11 | Can someone explain why mm's like to mark shares down at all ? Seems like a race to the bottom occasionally. Apols for exhibiting my ignorance in this respect ! Meantime - this is a top quality board. Many thanks to all. Do think this has been way too cheap for too long. Frustrating - but i am holding on and buying small quantities on weakness occasionally. | ![]() emeraldzebra
05/10/2021 21:28 | Agree with all that FSE but still frustrating, esp at the ease with which MMs can mark down small and medium caps on low volume. I think the London market is losing it across the board and a Nasdaq listing might at least tempt more savvy US tech fraternity to take advantage of these low ratings. | ![]() cumnor
05/10/2021 20:55 | Zvi has every interest in the SP, he owns a large part of the company! The share price is getting walked around on low to non existent volumes. We have had very good results with year on year growth expected at >40%. Tons of new business in the pipeline. Plenty of cash reserves. I am amazed investors are not looking at all of these factors. It's a chance to invest in a high growth company that has many irons in the fire in rapidly developing markets, without the risk of surviving a downturn as they are well capitalized. I still figure trading range should be between 120p to 160p, I agree with Simon Thompsons (IC) take of the sum of the parts being @170p. Other than the ongoing problems with Covid restrictions effecting travel BATM are in generally better health than most. | ![]() fse
