I’m guessing that this news has stripped away some of the Covid premium in the minds of some Israeli investors:


A new coronavirus drug which successfully cured 30 cases of the disease in Israeli hospital patients has been hailed by scientists as a ‘huge breakthrough’.

The EXO-CD24 substance was developed at the Ichilov Medical Centre in Tel Aviv and successfully completed its first phase of clinical trials on Friday.

I added a few shares at the close, just looked like it was the bottom and it will bounce on Monday.

At this price there is either something wrong with the company or the MM wanted stock.I have gone for the latter

But I am wrong more then I am right.

Also market makers may drop the price to trigger stop losses causing small share holders to sell and lo and behold institutional buyer gets an opportunity to accumulate Another possibility for silly price movements

This latest sell off makes no sense at all the company expects to post >180M in revenue for 2020 and thats without the benefit of sales from new line up of products and solutions. Even Covid testing got an unexpected reprieve as looks like the demand for testing due to new variants is not going to slow up any time soon.
The shares have been particularly weak in Israel and fairly high volumes albeit the buys and sells not matching up.
Honestly I do not fuss about short term share movements for this company as they are well funded and working in major growth areas. Also large holders can decide to reduce or exit for reasons that have nothing to do with the shares they hold so maybe we will get an announcement.
Backdrop is excellent. They are a BUY at these levels IMO.

Totally agree, very strange this last couple of days. You would think they'd issued such a bullish update only a few days ago!Shares sales are made for all manor of reasons and sometimes at the strangest of times. Therefore, believers in BVC should take this as an opportunity IMHO.

It not really a big covid player though....PCR tests and covid tests will still be required for at least 12 months probably more and that revenue will be replaced by the new machines that Ador are producing.Anyway southern Europe is BATM's biggest market and they are way behind on vaccinations.

Just heard news talk that BOE say UK may make up losses from Covid if vaccine rollout successful by March next year. May have turned investors positive on other stocks and profit taking on a "covid play " like BATM.

Looked at TASE trading and the UK and no doubt something has spooked the shares. It looked like a large holder winding down a position at first or the knowledge by brokers that they intend to which can often send the share price temporarily south until they place them.
The weakness appeared to have started in Tel Aviv where over 12M NIS traded with weakness spilling over to the LSE when it opened albeit there were some early spikes probably trades waiting to be filled.
Not sure what is "not to like" but no doubt we will hear something and if not then the share price should recover ... last interview very recent one with Zvi and he looked positively ebollient so no one told him anything !!!!! who knows.

100p looks like good support mentally and from the chart No harm for short term pullback but the newsflow is too strong too cause much damage unless torid market general pullback.Even then the most likely market damaging news would be serious new variant negative news, and that would then ultimately be BATM positive. Still highly likely new contract NFVTime announcement possible and Zvi is getting cute on timing announcements. Would be sensible to drop something before the next preannounced positive update later this month.

You are correct from what I have asked about Ventilator technology is that they are hardly created equal and AI and other features allow feedback from the patient in determining flow rates etc. My understanding is that these enhancements greatly increase not only survival rates but future complications.
Its another tool in "managing" virus outbreaks so they do not have as severe an impact and promote draconian measures getting taken.

I also agree with your comment on the testing scene. For a good while myself and other figured the demand for testing would slow down and it was important to stress the other business BATM had ex Covid testing. The emergence of these different variants and the likely progression of future flu seasons has put the testing sector on high alert that their tests are going to play an ongoing and permanent role. The testing is also now working in tandem with future vaccination design.
Recent revelations that certain PCR tests could not identify new variants is what has sparked all of this and the importance of buying tests and reagents from the likes of BATM that are continually updating their reagents.
Looks like testing is very much here to stay.
