20/5/2019 23:14 | >mrnumpty........ The filtronic story does not read well, the Govt became quite annoyed when the Huawei story was leaked and they lashed out at the first person they could blame rather than accepting that the threat was actual not perceived. Thought you would find this link interesting. We have not been following the medical division so much. It would appear that there are extremely good reasons for BATM to want to develop their diagnostic solutions in the background thats available to them | fse
20/5/2019 18:08 | fse . Yes , if there's any logic in the stock market , BATM should do well from Trump's announcement to blacklist Huawei . Certainly the opposite phenomenon occurred a few months ago : a quick glance at the share chart for Filtronic will show that it slumped by about two-thirds in mid-December 2018 . The reason for this gut-wrenching collapse was that our dear HM Govt. announced that it would allow foreign competitors to provide 5G base stations ( which account for most of Filtronic's market ) . Of course , BATM has two main businesses with also the growing agricultural waste side , whereas Filtronic was largely a one-trick pony whose previous share price growth had been posited on the huge opportunities of the forthcoming 5G . | mrnumpty
20/5/2019 16:34 | Well I am guessing you'all caught the Google Huawei development ! Cant help but feel this is all going to help BATM Telco and ARM albeit indirectly by default. There is also a lot of buzz around 5G to do largely with Autonomous vehicles but that only a slither. SpaceX going to shoot up a cluster of 5G satellites this week after weather delays last week. Lot of background excitement....... | fse
17/5/2019 21:28 | A lot happening on the 5G front and faster than most expected. Have put a few links in below which should explain where BATM Telco are.....some weekend reading .... Companies that have designed cores that implement an ARM architecture include Apple, AppliedMicro, Broadcom, Cavium (now: Marvell), Nvidia, Qualcomm, and Samsung Electronics. This is a link to the range of microprocessors ARM currently make. Of particular interest is chips for ARM neoverse. OK whats this got to do with BATM Telco systems ? Where do they slot into all of this ? Basically they are at the forefront of the this new "architecture." The rapid roll out of 5G has blindsided some big names like "Apple" who underestimated how fast this would happen. After inking a joint development agreement in June, Telco Systems and Arm have decided to further the deal and develop a joint uCPE based on the new Arm Neoverse architecture. The Neoverse line of products were launched earlier this year, with the aim of help cloud infrastructures to support the demands of a trillion intelligent devices. The latest contract will help Telco System push its offerings to the market while bringing new technologies to its own customers. The Telco Systems NFVTime is a holistic system for NFV uCPE and edge compute. The NFVTime-OS provides NFVi virtualisation software that can turn any Arm or x86-based whitebox device into a high performance uCPE, running any virtual network function. And of course there is Telco systems award winning cyber security solution . Link directly above. | fse
17/5/2019 16:23 | Yea thats a point also and the Chinese might fit in the flatscreen but they live a long way away and probably would not survive the voyage. So no thumbs up for you gb for stating the obvious.... | fse

16/5/2019 08:52 | Three general thoughts about 5G . Firstly , is it merely a matter of the USA attempting to exclude Huawei from 5G for the benefit of its own companies ? On the other hand , the Daily Telegraph recently reported that UK Government security concerns about eavesdropping by hostile bodies are so great that Government ministers are ordered to leave their mobiles outside in an ante-room before attending meetings , and that they are told to leave their mobiles inside a metal box whilst at home ( known as a Faraday cage , which blocks signals ) , so that these mobiles cannot be used as passive listening devices . Also , given that Volkswagen and other motor manufacturers were able to install cheat devices inside the very limited space of a vehicle engine for many years before being found out , isn't it blindingly obvious to all except Theresa May that the possibilities of concealing bugs in the huge expanse of a national communications network are virtually limitless ? | mrnumpty
14/5/2019 15:41 | If you want to be totally misled about 5G then read what the BBC has to offer on the subject. Talk about "no clues" reporting. Equally clueless are the remarks about Huawei and Vodafone use of their equipment. The government seems to take the view that its OK to have some of the equipment potentially compromised equally clueless. Its like letting a burglar into your house and telling them what they can take.... | fse
14/5/2019 07:58 | Vodafone have just announced they will roll out 5G from the 3rd July in the U.K. just wonder if BATM have any involvement? Anyone have any incite? | gbenson1

04/5/2019 15:26 | Yes it would be nice if the US started taking an interest after all Telco is one of theirs albeit with Israeli help ! What did they have to say. | fse
